put the fairy at the bottom of the garden and the fish in a bowl....
or leave them the time to worry when one wants to act like a hooker and one a bank robber

Depending on the age of your children, they are most likely
using their imagination to act like a fish and a fairy.
Children will often mimic or pretend to be their favorite things
as they play and interact with each other. This is perfectly
normal as long as the children are not trying to actually fly
by jumping off of high locations or breath under water in
the bath tub or pool.
Join your kids in their game. Tell them "Lets pretend to be fish
in the ocean." This allows you to involve yourself in their play
and also reinforce the fact that what you are doing is pretending
to be a fish and fairy.
Now, if your kids are in their thirties and still pretending to be
a fish and a fairy - Then you might have a problem.

Well I would agree with some other answers if your daughters were still children. I think they may be holding on to youth, especially the fish. And fairy has nothing better to do! Let them be.

I f youd like to break it it or just have fun with, put one daughter in a bathing suit and fill the bathtub, put the other daughter in the bathroom with her and say "every fish has to have a wish fairy!" When on of them comes out send them back in there.
Fairy come out:"OH NO!!! You can't leave the fish alone what if she needs a wish, you are a fairy right?"
Fish comes out:"Oh My GOSH! You cant live out of water!" and push her lightly back to the bathroom, if they have jobs at what they want to be, they'll drop it soon enough.

Embrace their imagination. Children will act like that, I thought I was a mermaid for years!
Buy your daughter a book of fish, she seems to show an interest. And, remind the other that sometimes the wand needs to be keep away from strangers and her wings are detachable for her comfort.
It's just phase, one their having fun with and that's not harmful.

If they are toddlers, go with it... Change their bedrooms into an aquarium and a fairy palace...
If they are over 8 years old, you might need a little counselling...
If they are adults, then some serious psychiatric help is needed... And straightjackets at the ready...
