Romans 10:9 says that if thou (you) shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (speak that you believe in Jesus) and shalt believe in thine heart (gotta mean what you speak) that God hath raised him from the dead (Jesus was dead and is now alive), thou shalt be saved. (You will live.)

Pray for forgiveness of your sins, believe wholeheartedly that Jesus is the son of God (you'll learn more later) then you will become a Christian. You need to strive to be more like Jesus every day. You will fall, but that's ok. God picks you up, dusts you off, and lets you start again. That's the great thing about God, His bottomless bowl of forgiveness.

Hello.
First of all- congratulations.
Now I will try to come up with some answer. *smile*
From the practical point, besides strong will and desire to be Cristian, you have to go to Christian Church and ask to be baptized.
Unfortunately I don't know where you live and Churches are not listed in Yellow pages. There for, I can't direct you to the nearest Christian Church. But if you are serious about it- I am positive that you will find it with no problems.
You might also want to go to different Christian Churches to see where you feel more comfortable, more at home. I am an Orthodox Christian and, of cause, that is where I feel most comfortable.
I wish you to find your pass, your joy and comfort, your happiness, your support, new will and desire to live your life happy, perhaps to start a new chapter of your life. God Bless.

Becoming a Christian is committing yourself to a relationship with your creator. It's admitting you're not what you want to be or should be, and making a complete change. It's so simple. . .Just admit to God that you're a sinner. Confess that you believe Jesus is the Son of God. Ask for forgiveness, that His blood shed for you will take away your sins. Ask Him to come into your heart and life, to be Lord of your life. Then, thank Him!

It's that simple. The hard part soon follows. You have to learn Who He is, and what His desires are for you. You need to read, read, read the Word and Pray as often as you can. This is a relationship you're getting into. Jesus loves you beyond your wildest dreams. It's an honor to be able to get to know Him!

If you feel called to join the Christian family, you need to also decide what denomination, Old Catholic, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Lutheran, Anglican etc.

After you have sifted through that you need to find such a church of that denomination and attend for a while to make sure you are called to be there.

Following that make an appointment with the parish priest or minister and he or she will direct you towards becoming:

a - a christian
b - a member of that church

I hope this helps.

God bless and strengthen you on your journey to closer union with Him.

First you have to believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and the sins of the world. Then you just ask him in prayer to take away your sins and come into your heart and help you to live in a way that is pleasing to him. He does the rest. You will not feel some earth shaking altering in your life. but you will notice a difference in the way you see things and life becomes more realxed.

The bible says that the ONLY way to Christ is through Jesus, His son. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NOONE comes to the Father but through me." The ONE AND ONLY way to become "saved" is to accept what Jesus did for us on the cross, accept and admit that we are SINNERS, and accept Jesus into our heart and lives. You then have an eternal place in Heaven. Remember, being saved is the ONLY way to Heaven, and the only true Faith. I have been saved for about 2 years now. I can tell you life doesn't get EASIER when you become saved, but it DOES get better. You see, once you are saved, the devil has more to fight for, so he will do whatever he can to get you back. The key is to start living your life according to what God's word says by reading the bible, and getting to know God. Please let me know if you have any questions! God bless you.

Apparently all you have to do is ask Jesus into your life. If you do this you are guaranteed a ticket to heaven and everyone else is left to burn in hell for eternity unless they share your views.
You will read the bible and someone else will tell you what it means.
You will believe with all your heart what you are told.
You will spread the word of Intolerance, Hate, Bigotry and Shame.
You will be shackled to your religion, which, unfortunately, will make it impossible for you to accomplish wonderful things.
You will sit around waiting to die so you can go to heaven - instead of attempting to create heaven on earth.

There is only 1 (ONE) way to become a Christian. Go to God in prayer, ask him for forgiveness of sins, ask Jesus to live in your heart and to be in control of your life. Then - and this is the most difficult part: live the life that Christ would want you to.

Becoming a Christian is more than joining a church or saying a prayer. It is a personal relationship that will last for eternity.

The "prayer of salvation" is the most important prayer we'll ever pray. When we're ready to become a Christian, we're ready to have our first real conversation with God.

"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

first pray a prayer of repentance for your sins. Accept, that Jesus was crucified for the world/your sins and that you can only be saved by him. then establish a personal relationship with him as you r personal savior. Now stand firm in your faith and refrain from your sins. you may fall short of that sometimes, but God's grace and mercy will keep you, call on the name of Jesus in good times and in bad, praise him and give him his glory in all things. Bad times are just to develop you, and make you stronger.
