Lack of education, lack of morals/conscience, temporary abandonment of common-sense (madness), too much arrogance of relative power/position and prevailing opportunity/situation, without thought of the rest of the world (which ceases to exist at that point of time !) - these are only some possible reasons but, there are many other reasons and this, by no means, is an all-comprehensive answer.

It is all the hype created about Sex and at the same time acting like Sex is taboo. It creates rapists from childhood.
Second reason is that rapists get to go away scott free. It is hard to prove a case against them, as the law makes it so. If they were severly punished (like hanging or death row or electric chair) and their death was transmitted live on TV...it would scare future would be rapists too.

Because there are lot of sick freaks out there that think they can take what isnt willingly given to them!! And we let them go back out on the streets again, and convictions of rapists are too hard now days.
