I'd ask the same question to anyone. Politicians say one thing and do another. some Jews, some Muslims, some Agnostics, and some Atheists preach against fornication, infidelity, and hate. I think it's safe to say that the problem isn't isolated to Christians. The fact is that people are inherently not people of their word, and break it from time to time. The better questions is, "So why do People say one thing but do another?"

To be a Christian means you believe there is a God and there once was a man named Jesus Christ, his son. Being a Born- Again Christian means, you not only believe in God and his son, but you have made a decision to ask God, in Jesus' name, to forgive you of all your mistakes, and you have asked God to come into your life to help you become a better person for yourself, your spouse, and your friends. The true meaning of Christian is, Christ-like, but not alot of people know that. It is much easier to say you are a Christian and preach on the right thing to do, than to act as Jesus did. Without Sin. Being a Christian is having a personal relationship with God through his son. It doesn't mean you'll never make mistakes. That's why they say, "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven." Don't worry about what others are doing and ask yourself daily, "Is God speaking to me, and am I listening?"

What you are describing is simply hypocritical people!
Christians are taught to have a love/hate relationship with people.
We are to Love everyone as a child of God because we ALL are creations of God. However, we ALL have sinned and came short of the Glory of God.
I personally try not to HATE anyone. I try to Love them just as I know Jesus would love them. However, I do HATE the sin in their life. Therefore, if someone is living in sin and doesn't see anything wrong with what they are doing then that person will THINK that I HATE them and the reality is I Love them, Hate the sin. When living in sin, it's hard to see the difference sometimes.
This is a VERY hard thing to do since we are ALL Christians and are ALL judgmental to some extent. It's sometimes hard to separate the sin and the sinner. Especially when the sinner sees nothing wrong with the sin.

Not all Christians are like that. It's wrong to group people together, like, why do all Muslim people hate Americans? They don't. There's a lot of hypocritical people out there in general. No one is perfect.

Why does anyone say one thing and do another.. because we are all "sinners"- none of us are perfect... Christians are no different than anyone else in that regard. We just have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ... that's the difference. There are tons of things that I believe are "wrong" but that doesnt mean that I dont do those things... but that is between God and me-- not any other human, unless that person is praying for me and my imperfections.

The Bible says:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Then it says:
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
If you are looking for a Christian with a clean track record you won't find one.
If you are looking for a sinner saved by grace, striving to be Christ-like everyday, just look around you. I am sure there are many.

My sister is a Christian. Christian for me is just a word. Like people in a group or club. I know alot of people who call them selfs Christians and they are liars, like my sister who tells me that i shouldn't cuss, when she smokes pot. They judge people when they are worse. I'm not a Christian and i forgive my sister for what she does. She tells me not to hate people, when she her self doesn't talk to some old friends cause she says they have the devil in them, cause they do bad things. I don't hate anyone i forgive people. I tell my sister I'm not gonna not talk to her cause shes like that, her god will do whats necessary. I told her to think what shes does before she judges people, if she does the same then not to say anything to that person.

Christians are just humans striving to be righteous. They come as they are and are working to become better people. That's why they say one thing and do another. They haven't become the person that they are trying to become. They are learning the laws and are able to suggest to others what should be done.

Jehovah Witnesses are good examples of christians because being one requires you to take a very serious view of sin and not just on sundays. Though of course still sinners through imperfection but shouldn't actively pursue a course of sin intentionally.
