I was seeing a man who is 21 years older than me until about 6 months ago. We split up due my depression and he wouldn't stop talking, and I mean incessantly!!! Anyway, 6 months later, I still can't stop thinking about him.I think there's a lot of unfinished business. I think he felt slightly threatened by the age gap and that I have a lot of male attention (though I don't play on it, and try to make him jealous- in fact I was always reassuring him)
He phoned me for the first time in ages yesterday because we both had exam (different college) and he wanted to see how it had gone...Should I get back in contact with him, even if it is as friends?

why not, see where it leads. it sounds like you have feelings for him, at least as a friend, he obviously has feelings about you. go ahead

If you feel as if that you could take his constant talking again then i say go for it. But as you said you think there is still some unfinished business to talk about. And that would ponder on you brain cause you would be "what if i and should i did" talk to him about it so you could get it off your chest whiles you have the chance.

Yeah, be friends... And that might sort out any unfinished business... And it is nice to have a friend who you can really trust and be intimate with...

An age gap shouldn't threaten any relationship in this day and age...

to be fair to him u shld comtact him for the sake of being frenz..remember u once shared something that was very strong and cannot juss shut them off out of your life like that.. at least he showed u that he still cares for u when he called u .do the same to him so that u dont feel guilty.
love has noyhing to do with age ..if u still love the guy why dont u go for him ..follow yout heart so that u dont live with regrets for the rest of your life.......

i think you should get in touch, there is nothing worse in life than regret!
Keep it casual at first, the odd text here and there, then meet for coffee or something, take it slow and find out what you want before getting back with him.
hope it goes ok hun xxx

If you have to ask then no. it might put you back to where you were 6 months ago and you obviously weren't happy

lf that's what you want to do, then go for it!
You don't have anything to lose, your split already so it's not like this can threaten what you've got!
