Everyone who answered yes should go jump off the closest bridge and learn the friggin law!!! Why are you all so stupid, go to another forum if you have never learned immigration or naturalization law...some people actually have real questions and need real answers....not just a lame A$$ guess!! now go to the video game section and play there and let the adults answer the questions.
That being said, an child born ABROAD to a US CITIZEN will retain the citizenship of his/her PARENTS...IN OTHER WORDS THEY WOULD BE A U.S. CITIZEN.

If the child were born in Mexico, according to Mexican law that child is Mexican by birth; If you are American, then all you need to do is to sign a few forms from the INS/DHS of a birth abroad, and your child will be able to attain American citizenship.
Mexico is one of the few nations that allows for Dual citizenship.

As long as you follow all the protocols related to new borns in a foreign country I believe that they would have dual citizenship. Those parents that feel that just because they are US citizens and have children abroad and don't register their children, then they will have trouble when they try to incorporate them into the system. The same thing would happen in Mexico.

A child born abroad of U.S. citizen parents is an American citizen. The parents need to file an appropriate registry of birth with the U.S. Embassy as soon as the child was born. It would also be best (i.e. for passport purposes) if they file an N-600 application for the child upon returning to the United States.

Sorry, the constitution of Mexico dictates that only children born of Mexican citizens are citizens themselves.
The rest is a pretty stupid question.

Your child is Mexican by birth, American through parents. The child would be considered dual. To play it safe, once the child is born, go to the American consulate and apply for citizenship for your child.

I don't know, but if it were my child I'd sure as heck hope not.
Although, then they could come over here, never have to work a day in their life to become a decent citizen, demand rights, protest, insult others who think that legal immigration beats illegal immigration and demand their language have priority - kinda sounds like a sweet setup when ya think about it...

If your baby was born and registered there, that would make it a mexican citizen for sure.
