he is just letting you see how it will be most of the time. truthfully, going out on a first date is not the best thing to do, Anyone can dress up and go to a fancy restuarant a few times just to make a good impression. Don't expect him to take you out 4 days out of a week, when/if you get married most of the time you will be at home .

It could mean several things-
he doesn't want ppl to know he's with you
he is cheap
he wants a booty call
he's too lazy to go out
he has a girlfriend and doesn't want to be caught
Tell him you would like to go somewhere you know he likes and see if he jumps at the opportunity or says no

If you are not ready, don't go to his house. If all he wants is to "have you in his house" then after sometime he'll give up. If he wants you (whether in his house or not, even he prefers his place) then he'll keep on dating you. Time is the best tester!

It just means he wants you all to himself. If your initial relationship was based on sex then that's what he wants from you. Tell him that you enjoy being with him but that you like to go out once in awhile because that's what you enjoy to do. Remember: If in doubt, get out!
