componnents of lan and how can i make adevice of them as master and others slaves . what kind of component with details and the charactaristic of these components .

A basic LAN consists of the following 2 computers (one with internet connection) 2 network cards one in each computer. 1 network cable cat5 ( can be bought any where ).
Link both computers up and run network wizard on both. make sure you get the internet aqccess option correct ... it's step by step and easy although i would disable the fire wall on the pc's first as sometimes it blocks them. this includes windows firewall if you have XP
