Probably everything that you would want him to do for you such as flowers, chocolate, etc will NOT appeal and indeed, hit the cheesy mark.
The basic things that appeal to most men are food, sex and alcohol so i'm sure you can think of something depending on your budget.
Weekend away for example, somewhere with lots to entertain during the day, good nightlife and the bedtime? That bit is up to you.

Sometimes its what you say not always what you do to make someone feel special. But maybe by taking him out for a meal or even buying him something like a card and let him know how special he feels it worked for my bf. good luck

cook him a lovely candlelight meal.. or if he is into the world cup.. snuggle up with him and watch the football,.,, while stroking his hair.....or you could drive to somewhere nice and wooded,,, lay a picnic out and lie in the grass cuddled up in the sun,,, take me instead,,, sounds good!! lol
