HUH?? If you believe that climate change (more accurate than Global Warming) is caused by only Americans driving H3's then you'll believe that no Government cares about it. However, if you were an intelligent being and understood global cycles, you'd know there is absolutely NOTHING we puny humans can do to stop or change the globe from warming and cooling. Think about this, only 10,000 years ago, NYC was under 2 miles of ice. I SHOULD HOPE we are warming up. AND what NBC< CBS< ABC< CNN etc FAIL to mention in their GLOOM AND DOOM reports, is that MARS is ALSO experiencing a CLIMATE CHANGE

They care. Everyone cares about the environment, even your biggest poluters care about the environment. The thing is they care about other things more, like thier economy, foreign relations, international struggles and war. The econonmy won't take a front seat in politions minds untill it's at the forfront of the mass publics mind. Right now, whats more important to the John Q Voter, the environment, or gas prices? The environment, the the stability of their retirement savings? If you want to change the way governments act, first change the way the votors think. I work in the oil field, and I would love to see out country to be more environmentally friendly.

They care.
but they care more about getting re-elected.

those that will be the first to suffer will not vote for those in power anyway, eg poor, forign, wildlife.
those that are in power, and their supporters, have the resources to survive the early stages of climate change without problems, they will probably find some way to profit from it.

Also politicians and nations have so many old hatreds they can't undestand that the game has changed and everyone is on this finite planet together with no way out.

They care about business and economy growth.
They don't care about global warming especially US. They don;t sign the Kyoto Treaty.

You won't die in a year or 2 on global warming.
You die in 6 months if you don't have business.

This is the fact !

You might not like it.

Not America,. that's for sure.. but Europe is doing something about it..Specially Germany and Britain. I think its more about the people in a country than the government....( i guess government has the power to make policy and stuff.. but its the people who care...that make it work.

The word 'care' can only be ascribed to individuals. ie it is a personal thing. Goverments don't operate on the personal level. They take decisions on a macro level. They need to be pragmatic. Whenever the care word is used I usually assume that I am dealing with a female.

I don't think so...Government would just assume leaving this issue in the hands of scientists and tree huggers. The agenda for most governments today is war, economy and finance.

I dont think they really care because its not going to be in their life time when it all going to take effect. All they care bout is now but not the future.

I don't think they really care, some may seem like they care but it's only to gain support .
