I had to "pack" a bullet wound in someones arm until the skin grew back. And by pack I mean that I had to take 4x4 pieces of gauze soaked in saline and "pack" it down into the wound. This took about 2 months. At the time I did it because I had to, thinking back I wonder how I did.
