Any coastal city in Brazil, especially in the South. I have never been but my friend keeps telling me how great it is and keeps on begging me to go over there. Everything is a lot cheaper in Brazil if you have £ or US$ and it isn't as dangerous as you might think as long as you are sensible.

Personally I thought Toronto was really cool. They have a really good climate. Baking hot in the summer, freezing cold in the winter, and spring and fall just how it should be. Again your money will go further cause the exchange rate is really good. Toronto has very good shopping with all the major labels at roughly half what you would pay in the UK. For a big city Toronto is very clean even though it can get very dusty in the summer - I wouldn't call it a beautiful city though. It is a very multicultural city but what makes it different from most multicultural cities is that it is very SAFE. Everybody seems to get along in relative harmony. You can walk around at 3.am in the morning alone and not run into any trouble. Toronto is also near Niagara Falls and only a short flight away from New York (you can get a bus as well). The only bad thing I noticed was the massive amount of beggers on every street all asking for quarters, many more than in London and you occassionally got one or two odd people walking around speaking to themselves (normally drunk).

All in all Toronto is like a smaller safer New York but Toronto has the Canadian edge and Tim Hortons!!!!.

If you are looking for some modern city with some natural reserves,
do some shopping and some diving,
enjoy the coolness of the shopping centre with shelter linking one building to another, and also some sun-tanning,
walk freely anywhere down the steets without been rob or discreminated,
experience western and asian culture,
eat all kind of food from all places in the world,
catch a flight to any other parts of Asia, Europe, US,

Perhaps you can some to Singapore. It is one of the best city in Asia, if not the world.

I love The Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon along the Rogue River.

Besides That I love the Lights and Sights in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Elswhere in the world I would have to agree with the person above about Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the surrounding areas. They intend to be the most technologically advanced city on earth by 2020.

Liverpool, because it's so friendly, and tons to do and see. great shopping, which is cheap, interesting sites and people.
I've been to New York and it's overrated, Paris is lovely but the people are not very nice, Berlin is a tad boring, not much there, Barcelona is lovely, but didn't see much so can't really comment, Amsterdam is a little scary with all the drugs and prostitutes walking around normal streets. Monte Carlo is fantastic, but very expensive, Philadelphia is also very nice. London is a good city to try, got a bit of everything for everyone.

Liverpool is the best city in the world and I strongly recommend you visit it. The people are amazingly friendly, great nightlife, the architecture is very impressive, the music is great and the football (soccer!!) is excellent too!!

Outside of my home town... I loved San Francisco, Tokyo, Vancouver, London, Barcelona and of course New York.....

The city I want to visit most now though is Buenos Aires... I can't wait to get there!!!

Chicago, Illinois.
It's a 'village' version of NYC. So laid back, it's got everything a big city should have but it's so much easier to get out of the rat race if you want to. Great sights, people, beaches, skyline, sports, museums, theatres, pizza.........need I say more!
&, no, I don't live there, but I wish I did
