As a writer I tend to run away with words but here is an opening to your speech problem:

True leadership is a quality many aspire to, and few truly obtain...because in order to become a leader you must first learn to follow. Follow with an open mind, with focus, and with purpose. Being an effective leader means choosing the right course of action, all the while remembering those who will be affected by your decisions. A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. This type of person does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the quality of their actions and the integrity of their intent.

Hopefully you aren't one that has to write it down word for word or your in trouble. What you need to do is to forget all these quotes that you say that you need, just remember it's all about presentation, presentation, presentation! That is what it all comes down too. Just quoting people for no reason may be great at first, but it will become monotonous and confusing. Throw in a few quotes that are meaningful into your speech and should accent whatever point you are trying to make. If you have to make this speech tomorrow you really should already have a sketch of what you'd like to say. Grab a visual or two if needed, not everyone has to do the speech the same way.

And above all relax while you are up there. Nobody knows what you are going to say but you, and nobody will raise there hand to ask you why you said what you did during your speech. This isn't debate class, so know your quotes, have an idea of what you want to say and improv. and I am sure you will do fine.

WOW - I LOVE everyone's answers here ! I thought they would all have sent you a bunch of quotations, but they didn't ! They sent you the right advice instead! I am with them 100%. Make that presentation your own, girl !

I want to throw in one quote my boss always says and I don't know who originated it - some sports figure - maybe Wayne Gretzky - I don't know: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" I am not advocating you USE it. I am wanting you to bookmark it in your head. Because when you are up on that stage - and also in your new leadership capacity - remember that there is nothing worse than thinking or believing something can't be done only to turn around and find out somebody else did it.
Dare to dream and take chances and color outside of the lines. Instead of looking at things and thinking "why?" , think "why not?".
(yes, that is a rip-off of another quote of someones, but I don't have it right and don't know who, so I didn't attempt to ascribe it as a quotation, folks..)

Now go get 'em Tiger !

Since you hardly got any quotations, here are some of my favorites:
By Edwin Hale

I am only one.
But still, I am one.
I cannot do everything.
But I can do something.
And, because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do what I can.

And one by Quintin Hogg:

Whatever else may be shaken, there are some facts established beyond warring; for virtue is better than vice, truth is better than faslehood, kindness than brutality. These, like love, never fail.

And one by Lily Tomlin:

The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win it, you're still a rat.

Well, I just used him in another answer. But Robert Frost writes poetry and he has one called "The Road Not Taken". It talks about taking the tougher path sometimes through life that has the more promising outcome. Or there's a few that I remember from school like Absolute power corrupts absolutely but I don't remember who said that one. Congrats though!

The word leadership can refer to:

the process of leading
the concept of leading
those entities that perform one or more acts of leading.
One can categorize the exercise of leadership as either actual or potential:

actual - giving guidance or direction, as in the phrase "the emperor has provided satisfactory leadership"
potential - the capacity or ability to lead, as in the phrase "she could have exercised effective leadership"; or in the concept "born to lead".
Leadership can have a formal aspect (as in most political or business leadership) or an informal one (as in most friendships). Speaking of "leadership" (the abstract term) rather than of "leading" (the action) usually implies that the entities doing the leading have some "leadership skills" or competencies. Several types of entities may provide or exhibit leadership, actual or potential, including:

For starters forget the idea of saying a long and profound things. Short and simple, direct and pointed are the key (easier to remember and much less likely to screw it up). As for who to qoute you have to decide if you want high integerty or use of power (examples would be high integ: margret thatcher, for power stalin). Be sure to use your eye's and body to drive home your points. Be sure that you mean what you say. good luck

Upon this a question arises: whether it is better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? It may be answered that one should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved, when, of the two, either must be dispensed with. Because this is to be asserted in general of men, that they are ungrateful, fickle, false, cowardly, [and] covetous.

--from Machiavelli's The Prince. That should keep them in line.

Good luck.
