feed them both try mixing the cucumber with pasta or other food .
chop the cucumber up with say ham and dish it up they will either eat some ham or not. don't try to worry to much my kids were so fussy at that age .
I know its frustrating though or you could try feeding them all the time some they will get fed up eating same thing.
Let the child go to the supermarket and pick food he/she likes look of and is willing to try..
good luck

It's pretty normal for toddlers to be this picky. For a while my daughter would only eat mashed potato and ketchup :)

I think all you need to do is give them a regular meal, include cucumber or banana in it. maybe pop a few carrots sticks on the plate or some apple with the rest. Eventually their curiosity will naturally take over and they will try what is in front of them. Try not to make a big fuss when they refuse what you offer. Stick to your guns and keep putting different foods there. the more stressed you become over it the less likely they will be to do as you want them to do.

There is also a kind of non spill snack dish you can get with a lid and a hole just big enough for a toddler to push their hand in it. pop some grapes in it with their banana and they wont be able to see what they are pulling out. it also makes it into a game which another way to get their interest

All i can advise you to do is be very patient and to keep being persistent trying different foods.

They do eventually get better, look at it this way- how many 10 year olds do you know that live on a diet of cucumber and banana?

best of luck

Every day offer another food on the plate, kids typically need to see a new food many times before they accept it. Don't make the new food a big issue, just offer it on the plate, eventually he will try it. Make it a small serving because you will likely throw it out. The biggest thing is to avoid a confrontation on this. I would suggest you feed him a normal meal and put some banana and cucumber on his/her plate. Let them eat what they will. after about 10 times of seeing a new food they will probably try it on their own. It is odd but not unheard of. I am sure your pediatrician can answer any concerns about nutrition and diet, but you can also find good information on the web if you look carefully. good luck, this stage will not last forever, but don't fight it out because you do not want to make food a power struggle. Just offer the child the same foods your family is eating and add the familiar foods as well they will eventually try the others.

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! Learn here https://tr.im/iy3F8

As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

Young children should not be eating large amounts of food with little seeds in like cucumber, Bananas, tomatos & strawberries. Something to do with their young digestive system. Try giving them something else & telling them its a different kind of cumcumber or banana. It worked for someone I know!!!

give them cucumber and banana! A pediatrician once told me that if a child wants only peanut butter sandwiches, so be it. Give them peanut butter sandwiches. Children only eat when they are hungry and their clever little bodies know what they need, thus what they ask for to eat. If the child has no health problems and is healthy as such, they will not starve to death. Enjoy your little one and be glad he's eating great foods:)

it could be worse, it could be sausages and chips!! what i do is serve up what my son likes and put one different thing on the plate so not to overwhelm him, sometimes he tries it and likes it sometimes he doesn't touch it. but he is less of a fussy eater now than he was 6 months ago before i started doing this. how about a fruit salad with just 3 fruit (including banana) in it or cucumber sandwiches with cheese spread?

Let him or her.

As long as the little one gets enough milk and fluids he will be fine.

Kids are just like adults sometimes you dont want to eat or you get a food you cant stop eating.

Its better than living on chips and chocolate.

If you get worried try mashing the banana into food. Like with potatoe, rice or pasta. It even tastes nice with veg!

Ummm... Give him lots of cucumbers and lots of bananas?

I mean, he will get bored of it in a few days if he has this diet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

But then I am no expert. Better do what other people are saying.

nothing wrong with that, both healthy knew one kid all he would eat was fries (he was big) bannans are extremely good for your growing child, my son does not like them and the only way i can get him to eat is by buying bannana fritters, cucumbers again same.
Try cutting them into the round slice then introduce other vegtable in the same shape i did that with my son with carrots and made them into fries and mixed them with potato one now he loves carrots raw
