Exactly, but some say it is the temptation, ah huh? temptation...so if they were really bent on curbing it, is temptation still a problem?

Why do we keep getting questions about why Americans characterize "all" of this or that as being a problem from Mexicans? Show me ONE American post that blamed ALL the drug problems on Mexicans?
Drugs are one of those things where people are being saved from themselves, so the fact that there is complicity in the protected class doesn't make it right.
In this case, my concern is children, although the drug runners tend to be a much more unsavory type than those who use drugs recreationally, as well. Keeping out unsavory types, generally, is a good idea. Also, the point is that we have a right to regulate what trade comes across the border, as a nation. We don't approve that trade. However, the question is ridiculous since no one blames Mexicans for "all" the drug problems.

ok first off, i don't blame the mexicans for the drug problem. And second it isn't just the WHITE people that are bums/tweakers/crackheads. There are alot of black people, mexicans, white people, etc..that are crack heads i wouldn't say that it is mainly the white people. It is true that if people would quit buying it than there wouldn't be a problem. Maybe the police just need to crack down on the drug houses, dealers.

First of all, there are bums/tweakers/crackheads of every nationality-not just white. So don't be a jerk.Secondly, yes I'm all for mexican rights, but most of the cocaine in the US enters in from Mexico.Just look on hwy 95 in North CArolina-we've always got police stopping trafficers from mexico. It's not all mexicans problems for the drug trade in the US,just the ones that bring it.I believe in illegal rights and equality for all,but we do need to secure our borders better and stop letting drugs in.But then again,ya got ppl here making drugs outta cough medicine,soo...

Well, they certainly can't blame the drug problem on who is REALLY responsible: to name the two most prominent, CIA and the Bush family. CIA ran drugs, both heroin out of Southeast Asia during Vietnam (via an offshoot called "Air America") and cocaine out of Central and South America in the eighties. Why, after years of supporting Manuel Noriega, did they finally turn on him? Because he had a conscience attack about the drug traffic. That's just one of many examples. As for the Bushes, they are one of the biggest drug families in the country. I've read that back when George W was supposedly in the Air National Guard, him and a friend of his named James Bath spent their days unloading tons of white powder from planes inbound from places like Colombia. The Reagan-era "War On Drugs" was a sham, just like this current "War On Terror" is: subterfuges covering up the government's own involvement.
Minorities ALWAYS get blamed for the drug problem...they are easy targets, because the Honkies just assume that in their poverty, they're all boozers and druggies when, your'e right, the majority of serious drug abusers ARE white.
I mean, we'll never stop the trafficking of drugs, because it is a quintessential case of supply and demand. As long as there are people -of any colour- out there who want to turn their brains to Swiss cheese somebody will be happy to accomodate them.
Ever seen the movie "Traffic"? That is actually pretty close to the way it is.

Americans don't blame Mexicans for ALL the drug problem only for illegally trafficking drugs into the U.S.
Bringing drugs into this country is illegal and Mexicans need to take responsibility for their illegal actions and stop trying to justify them. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition, our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the War on Drugs each year. It is a war that hasn’t been won in the past 30 years and drugs are as available today to your teenager as they were in 1970.

We do not blame them for all drugs that come in illegally. Mexico has so many illegals coming in and drugs come in that way also. Instead of spending time on computer, spend time stopping the drugs from coming in or don't you want to stop them?
