Do we try to define a meaning to life just to give us the illusion that there is eternal life and final justice?

How about this, as a point to life: The point is to create more like-minded individuals. That is the meaning. This can be universally agreed upon by varying religions, skeptics, political affiliations, capitalists, socialists, races, etc. Those categories of description, the ways we identify ourselves- they give us the "end-game" of what we believe finally. What you subscribe to, defines meaning.

to put that question the way you have I would think you are letting things bother you that you have no control over. You exist so why not make the best of it for you. One real point to life for me is to learn about many things so I may make life a little better for those that follow me. That means you as well as all people.

we have a purpose to have a relationship with Father God. every thing in life points to that direction. Jesus paid the price so that we can come back to our Creator and the holy Spirit gives us the help and strength to do it.

Yes. That's why the less intelligence and/or learning you have, the more likely you are to be religious.
