the concept of death, is unknown, we don't know actually wt we going to be after death.
fear of death is actual fear of losing our lives, our lot of desires which r still uncompleted, loosing our money and property, which we earned and got after our hard work

the life seems full of enjoy , happiness, somtimewe feel down due to struggle for living but still willingness to stay alive never come down, even a poor guy.. doesn't hv enough money to buy a bread but he also fighting with nature to stay.

coz our desires r endless, we feel still there is lot of material ,which we r not able to consumed yet, the fame and money..which is only with yr neighbors today, u also hv to get it.we feel there is lot of things to do in life, and that's why nobody like to die

but once u feel u enjoyed fully every moment of yr life, u r fulfilld with satisfaction ,full of blessing , u thank to God for his regards and blessing. and then u welcome and ready to move to death.

Nobody cares to die, unless their beliefs about dying are strong and then fear is cancelled out of the equation.

Look at the people that strap bombs to themselves and get blown up for the causes they believe in. They are certain that what they are doing is of more value to them in the afterlife, than the life they are living now.

Look at those in prison that just committed suicide that were being held by the US gov't since 911. They wanted to draw attention to the conditions of the prison, and force a public outcry of the injustice that they were living under. (Fear the Patriot Act!)

Nobody wants to die because they fear the unknown. But, if they have a clear understanding of what happens to you after death, then there is no fear, and are able and willing to die for higher causes.

All of God's creatures have a basic characteristic to survive. Watch a fly in a spiders web try to escape when it sees the spider coming. Without that basic need to survive, everything would die off. People and animals and all creatures would stop eating or drinking and would live carelessly. In fact, the things we do would be greatly changed. In order to fulfill our purpose for creation, God instilled this need and desire to live. We were created to live forever (and except for the transgression of Adam we would have done so) and therefore we are programmed if you were, to continue our existence. It is our nature. Those who want to kill themselves are acting against their very nature and they know it. Stopping the process of life and their inner drive is the ultimate event, it is the highest (and worst) thing they can think of. They of course want to live, but that is another story. In short, God created us to live forever and the breath of life that he breathed into our bodies is our live force and its very nature instills within us the desire to live to fulfill our purpose to live, to live forever and we will through the resurrection (as provided for by Jesus to overcome the permanency of death as brought upon us as mentioned earlier by Adam)

People are afraid of unknown thins. death is one of them. When you die you find yourself in an unknown world and don't know what waits you there. Death is like a birth of child.
