2) The top mount freezer more manageable and maneuvering
and easy of use .

Single Door:
1) Less expensive setup
2) Less electric use
3) Less space for things
4) The freezer will not be as powerful
Double Door:
1) Better freezer
2) More cost
3) If used appropriately can be more easy on electricity
> If you get a lot of groceries in one shopping trip; double door will be great for you
> If you keep opening door of refrigerator frequently double door will be better on electric and food preservation

Both have their pro's and con's as the other people have mentioned. I'll just point out one thing: No matter which one you get, you will always buy enough food to fill it... It's human nature. It's been studied! So a 2 door, look for bigger frozen food bills!
