Islam is today being portrayed as a peaceful and tolerant religion. History proves otherwise! Though there were certainly periods of relative tranquility and tolerance, minorities and non-Muslims have always been prosecuted under Islam. In fact, Islamic ideology is based upon an intense hatred of the non-Muslim. For Muslims, there exist two kinds of non-Muslim enemies... kafir (non-believers in Islam) and ahl al-kitab (People of the Book). Kafir, such as Buddhists and Hindus, must either convert to Islam or face execution. People of the Book include Jews and Christians. These people need only submit to Muslim authority to avoid forced conversion or death. Although they may keep their original faith, their status becomes dhimmi (a "protected," yet inferior non-Muslim status). So instead of outright forced conversion or slaughter, the Christians and Jews would be allowed to remain somewhat unmolested as long as they acknowledged the superiority of the Muslim.

However, as 100,000 dead Lebanese Christians and Israel's beleaguered Jewish population have discovered over the years, these guarantees have proved worthless!

- A Muslim can kill any person he wishes if it be a "just cause" (Sura 6:152)
Please state your religion after your post. Any racism will be reported

Respect all religions if you have any respect for your own. It is the best way to avoid an attack on your own religion.

You r not right. In Sura [6:152] is written:
"" You shall not touch the orphans' money except in the most righteous manner, until they reach maturity. You shall give full weight and full measure when you trade, equitably. We do not burden any soul beyond its means. You shall be absolutely just when you bear witness, even against your relatives. You shall fulfill your covenant with GOD. These are His commandments to you, that you may take heed. ""
Such thing as you wrote do not exist in Islam. A Muslim can take a sword only when he needs to protect himself or others. It is banned in Islam to kill anyone he wishes if it be a "just cause". ıslam is not satanism. Your sources about Islam are not right. If you want to learn the truth investigate Islam from both + & - sides.
There is a word (hadith) of Prophet Muhammad:
"Save a Life, Save All Humanity;
Take a Life, Kill All Humanity."
Is not this pure?

For your first question, I agree with you that non-mulims ahve been mistreated throughout Islamic history.
The quote you provided is not accurate and your translation is far from reality. Sura (6:152) says: "And come not nigh to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice; no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear, whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the Covenant of Allah: thus doth He command you, that ye may remember"
It has nothing to do with killing non-muslims for just a cause like what you said.

The reason did not lies in religions but in people. Not all Christians used to practice crusades wars. Not all Muslims are practicing terrorism. Please understand that terrorism is practiced even by states. Some times even by so called democratic states. Are all citizens practicing that terrorism? No. Only some of them.
The same is with any religion. It is nothing wrong with Mohamed or Jesus. It is something wrong with us, people.
We are so found to change other people, to put ourselves on pedestal, to become more than other, to make us believe that we are closer to god, better than others, etc.... The fact is. You help others or you destroy others. Always it is out of that single man, that single moment.
Please be more open minded and try to understand why something is happening. You can create perfect religions but still people will kill so called enemies in its name. The true battle lies within each of us. No need to destroy other people or more advanced creatures. And even when we are performing this Battle of good and bad inside us we have to be patient and compassionate toward ourselves.

Islam is religion of peace.
The model world, according to Islam, is a world of peace. Islam in itself means a religion of peace. The Quran says,
"And God calls to the home of peace".
This is the message of Islam to mankind. It means that 'build a world of peace on earth so that you may be granted peace in your eternal life in the hereafter'. According to Islam, the three basic elements of building a peace culture are: Compassion, Forgiveness and Respect for all.
Let's take compassion first. There are many verses in the holy Quran and hadith, which emphasise on compassion. For instance, the Prophet said: "O people, be compassionate to others so that you may be granted compassion by God." Thus, Islam makes compassion a matter of self-interest for every man and also motivates us to be compassionate in our dealings with each other. One who wants to receive God's grace will have to show compassion to others.
Regarding forgiveness, the Quran says, "When they are angered, they forgive," Quran has number of verses that promote forgiveness. Once a person came to the Prophet and asked him, "O Prophet, give me an advice by which I may be able to manage all the affairs of my life." The Prophet replied: "Don't be angry. Even if people provoke you, don't lose temper and forgive those who make you angry. Adopt forgiveness as your behaviour."
Now let's take the third principle, respect for all. There is a very interesting story, recorded by Al-Bukhari in this regard. The Prophet once saw a funeral procession passing by a street in Madina. The Prophet was seated at that time. On seeing the funeral, the Prophet stood up in respect. At this one of his companions said: 'O Prophet, it was the funeral of a Jew (not a Muslim).' The Prophet replied: 'Was he not a human being?'
He said that every human being is worthy of respect. There may be differences among people regarding religion and culture, but everyone has to respect the other. Because Islam says that all men and women are brothers and sisters. And all are creatures of one and the same God.
These three principles are the basic pillars, which can lead to the formation of a peaceful society. Wherever these three values are to be found the result no doubt will be a society of peace and harmony.
The above references are enough to show that Islam is a culture of peace. It is true that some Muslims are engaged in violence in the name of Islam. But you will have to differentiate between Islam and Muslims. You have to see Muslims in the light of Islam and not vice versa.

We are aware of what you're saying but what do you think is the best thing to do? If that is really the truth then all we can do is be vigilant but we can not judge or despise them otherwise how can we be called Chrsitians if we follow that same ideology or belief. I think we have no other option but to respect their rights as God's people with a belief different from us and be watchful.

First, what is your question? This seems to be a statement.
Second, why should we state our religion? So you can determine whether to discount our opinions or not, based on our religion? Your request smacks of racism...
For the record, since you are so determined to know our religions, I am Jewish.
