I am celebrating my 26th birthday in London with my parents and boyfriend and would like to go to a lively and exotic place. Any recommendation on a place with tasty food and a great atmosphere? thanks a lot.

lively and exotic? hmm...well funky and cool would be mama amalfi's on old compton street in soho. there are also a million other to choose from, anywhere in central london.
mash is on great portland street and has a bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs... there's a hotel at the far end of regent street called the george, and they have a restaurant/bar on the 15th floor called the heights. it has panoramic views of london. the entire wall is a window... hope that helps. happy 26th!

First of all go for afternoon Tea at the Ritz - its not really lively and exotic - but it is a real experience - then of course you are up the west end and you can pick and choose a night club - there are so many you will be spoilt for choice - have a good birthday
