i think u guys fail to see the essence of my question. if he creates a rock he cannot carry, doesn't that qualify as a task he CANNOT perform?

There is nothing God cannot do. He can do everything. He is awesome!

There is only one thing that is impossible for God to do (Hebrews 6:18) and it aint got nothing to do with creating a rock. He created the Sun and it is a speck in his mighty hand.

God is limited only to our imagination of his true power.

Can it get colder than -460 degrees Fahrenheit?

It's an oxymoron, like...

compassionate conservative
constant variable
definite maybe
detailed summary
dry ice
dry lake
elevated subway
exact estimate
found missing
forced resignation
forever's end
forward lateral
genuine imitation (& genuine replica, etc.)
guest host (and permanent guest host, a rare "triple" oxymoron)
jumbo shrimp
justifiable paranoia
limited omniscience
liquid gas
living dead
local long-distance
loud silence (& deafening silence etc.)
mandatory option
modest magnificence
mournful optimist
only choice
open secret
original copy
plastic silverware
rolling stop (driving)
scatter-hoarder
stopmotion
sweet sorrow
synthetic natural gas
true lies
virtual reality
wake up dead / woke up dead (as in "If you fall asleep while driving, you might wake up dead.")
wireless cable
working vacation
solid gold plated

Kinda like you are asked wether or not you will attend the mandatory meeting...

The riddle is unsolvable because it is illogical.

What you're ultimately asking is, can God create something greater than himself...the answer is no. It is tantamount to asking, 'can God create something that lasts beyond eternity?' You can't create something greater than that which is already infinitely great.

your right, in theory god can create anything but I like the guy's answer that he/she should send that rock flying through your house because it is a stupid question.

they say he created the earth. the earth can be likened to a rock. It is massive and we think extremely heavy. However weight is dependent on gravity so if you think of it the earth has no weight. It has mass and mass creates gravity and gravity creates the allusion of weight.

If He created the universe alone how can a rock be bigger than that.

Apparently, he would not need to carry it since if he created it, he could probably just send it flying to your house with his mind.

He cannot maintain perfect, righteous character in a freewill being even when He successfully brings that being to that point, as I'm sure some of us prove. If anybody gets my point.
