Thats the oxogen in them there bubbles ,bubba?

The bubbles that form at the side of the glass are small bubbles of CO2.
They appear and settle at microscopic defects in the glass.

As to how the CO2 got there I haven't a clue; unless you drunk a mouthful of water and left the rest then by logic it would be the CO2 you breathed out and into the glass.

It's dissolved air coming out of the water, all water from a tap contains disollved air.

cause you took fizzy water to bed, OR you only slept for 1 hour, hence the furry tongue!
