I dont think so. Marriage is the union of two people who love each other and want to take it to the next level to show the world they want to spend the rest of their lives together. Some people have different meanings of the word or the act itself so they tend to destroy what the other worked so hard to create. Ive been living with my boyfriend for 5 years we just had a child and I want to make it offical. If he was to die I have no rights to his burial procedures' his legal documents nothing everything goes to his mom. If he fell ill right now his mom can stop me from seeing him in the hospital I wouldnt have any rights at all. Marriage is a piece of paper that means alot to those who want to do right. Marriage isnt the biggest conspiracy in human history....Liars are

NO !!! but the bureaucrats that stick their big nose into what is suppose to be between Man, Woman and GOD is a travesty.
Always finding ways to make a buck.
I thought religion and government was to be separate and marriage as Holy and Sacred ? Marriage has NOTHING to do with politics/ government.
So why is it?
Because this Country is run by hypocrits. !!!

Marriage is a piece of paper. I think if two people love each other (Man to Man Woman to Woman Man to Woman) they should be able to tell each other they love them, kiss, and be married. No paper work, No hassles. There is a down side to this though. If you live with someone you better get it straight about community property, or someone usually gets ripped off.

Not at all. It is one way of helping to assure the successful raising of progeny. It's awfully hard for a woman to raise children by herself if she has to work as well as look after kids. And it's also a lot of fun. We raised our family and are now into our retirement -- and it's still wonderful for both of us.

Conspiracy, no. But near impossible to do. We end up with serial monogamy.
