I think it's silly for a few reasons:

1) What if you start to wonder about what it would be like to have sex with others after you've been married a while. Better to get it out of your system.

2) Virgins are lousy in bed. I'd never marry one. The last thing I want is to be with someone who only knows what I taught her.

3) I just don't get making such a big deal out of the act of sex (or abstinence actually).

4) I think you have to be sexually active to mature emotionally to the point that you can have a good relationship. Sex comes with a lot of emotions, and you should learn to handle them before you're tied down in a marriage.

Virginity is indeed precious and worth protecting. You have made a very good decision - Congratulations!! Keep it up!! In fact, some of the people who laugh at your view, deep down they envy, appreciate and respect people like you.
And in case you did not know: Many guys (including those who have been sexually active for a long time) have a strong desire to marry a virgin.

Just imagine why you want to be a virgin, and what will it mean to you. Remember, everyone has different opinions and beliefs. Just stick with what you think is right. If that person really likes you, he'll wait. If he wants action, then he'll turn to somebody else as soon as he gets bored and attracted to somebody else. Don't let popular culture fool you. It takes courage and strong character to stay virgin, and there are many people who feel the same way, therefore you are not alone.

Congrats on being proud to be a virgin.
It is your choice and there's one thing to remember. Sex should be special--very special, no matter how others make fun of that choice.
And as to comparing a virgin to sexually active girls....
You can be like them at any time you choose but no matter how many regrets they face, they can never again be like you.
PS-----even if sex is so free now, most guys really would like to marry a virgin. There are just few who will ever get the chance.

There are so many precious things in life over which we have no control. We cannot control when we lose our innocence, we cannot control it if we lose our faith, and we cannot control when we lose our life, unless we willingly choose suicide. Virginity is one thing we can control, and one thing that we cannot get back once it is given away. I applaud you for you decision to keep yours for one person, as it is a great gift. If someone cannot see that, they are the poorer for it.

It is precious. Keep it until you willingly give it to someone else. In the meantime, don't worry about what other people say.

Virginity is something that has little to do with the body of mortals it is something connected to the mind, there are instances in the Hinduism wherein a Prostitute got salvation or Nirvana!
It is but very natural to get attracted to the people of opposite gender and there is nothing wrong in it, mixing with them freely is very much essential for ones complete mental development, you may love one and have your fantasies! but please avoid sleeping with him as it would result it several problems, unwanted pregnancy, STD, psychological problems, social and cultural problems BUT IF YOU LIVE in the society which accepts sex as the natural extension of love then there may not be any social problems but take care and always use condoms during sex and at the same time remember that you may lose your virginity only to your beloved, trusted, faithful, boyfriend(though not married) but to nobody else as they would take advantage of you acceptance.

A girl's virginity is a very precious gift that for too many, was given away way too soon. Stand by your beliefs. You should be proud to do so.

What ever you do dont change!!!! Save yourself for you husband. Think about it do you want the one you love to have had sex with 20 other people??? Sex can completly ruin a relationship that isnt joined by marriage. Be proud of yourself. Only 17% of girls wait till their wedding night. Nothing hurts a genuine man more than finding out your wife has had sex before y'all were married. TRUST ME I KNOW.

Keep your intergrity. There are people who share your view, male and female. Never let someone pressure you into doing anything that feels uncomfortable. Your not supposed to feel bad about yourself after sex.. if you do it was a mistake. If you have any doubts, don't. The first time should be special, keep it that way.

Your virginity is yours only once and you have the right as a person to save it for your one and only true love (or even your future husband). If anyone laughs at you for saving yourself, you don't need to be around that person. If you give up yourself for someone you don't really care about, you will regret it.
