Verisons of Maya were used in Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. It was used for Ice Age, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, I Robot, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Spiderman 2. Maya technology helped make The Incredibles, Shark Tale, and Shrek 2.

However, Maya was recently bought (in the last 6 months) by Discreet (makers of 3DS Max). What will happen? Will 3DS Max adopt Maya technology? Will Max be on Macs?
