I guess teaching a person how to listen is offensive to most people, because as i said its common knowledge. they might believe they no longer need for you to dictate to them what they need to hear. And its just more complicated to teach people how to listen compared to speaking. because all they want to do is to butt in.

Toastmasters International focuses on communication skills (that includes speaking and listening skills). Since 1924, this nonprofit organization has grown to over 10,500 clubs around the world in 90 countries and has help millions of people to become better communicators. Excellent learn-by-doing, self-paced program. Check the website for a club near you.
Also, if you volunteer for a helpline, such as Samaritans or United Way helpline, you'll get incredible training and gain great listening skills AND help those in need at the same time.

Because anyone who really needs this class would not be listening to the instructions given. It would be a waste of time for the teacher. To sum it up, no one in the class would be listening.

There is, they are called communication classes and can be found usually at your local university or college. Most basic communication classes start off with the basics of communication such as speaking and listening.
