It is better to keep your religion to yourself. If you are a believer, great. Celebrate and practice your faith all you want. There are lots of people that do not want to hear your "truth". The world would be a much better place if people learned to keep their religions to themselves.

I'm proud of you, artic-vixen, for you are searching. I will say this in Christianity it is required by Jesus to tell others of his death, burial and resurrection and more than anything what will happen if you do chose life which is everlasting life with Jesus Christ. We should not worry if we have the right choice which is life not death (eternal damnation). Jesus second coming will not get here until every person has hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and choose to believe or not to believe. We have a long way to go it seems. Those who are mature in mind will have to make that choice. I believe those who are children or mentally retarded are of innocence. I hope this helps you. Good blessings toward ur search and journey!

would't it be better for people to live this life with all the blessings that come with being one of God's children. Despite what all the people on Yahoo Answers who have a go at Christians think, they really would benefit greatly by following Jesus - even in this life. And what they don't get is that by telling them we are not doing them a disservice, but rather being loving, by telling them the truth and introducing theg to Jesus.
if they choose to reject him now, no doubt God knows their heart and they would not have been saved if they did die without hearing.
In the end, God has called us to introduce people to Jesus, and the part about who will be saved and who will not is up to him.
but good question

Nope. The assumption they will be let in just because they didnt know has no Biblical foundation for that thought. Its something that makes people feel better, but they cant back it up. It is our jobs as Christians to give them the chance, they may not have it otherwise.
And Salvation comes in stages. Not everyone who hears it for the first time will accept it, sometimes it takes alot of time. So do really do it correctly, you should continue to nurture what you started as long as they are interested. So, if you they arent going to do it right, they probably should leave it to someone better suited.

Wow, um I never looked at it from that point of view, but it makes sense. On the other hand the only time I would say it's NOT okay to talk to people about god is when they do know better, and they just don't want to hear it, or they don't believe. Everything happens for a reason so just try once, and if not just let it be. It's better than pissing a bunch of people off.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly.
INDOCTRINATION is a two-way process:
a] The person being indoctrinated must FIRST SHOW INTEREST about your religious beliefs and BE MADE FULLY AWARE OF ALL the areas of your system of faith; and
b] The person indoctrinating must be qualified enough to present one's religion and church practices IN ITS ENTIRETY, in a clear and concise manner, and allowing the other person to absorb each aspect of the subject matter. This requires you to answer all of their questions.
Because of the nature and complexity of explaining one's own faith, the entire INDOCTRINATION process MAY REQUIRE SEVERAL SESSIONS so that all important areas are fully covered and they are CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD and AGREED UPON by the other person BEFORE ENLISTING to join your group.
It should be noted well that CASUAL CHATS or open discussions about religious topics and the concept of "God" and "Jesus" TO SOMEONE who has NEVER HEARD of them, or such abstract concepts, it DOES NOT CONSTITUTE that an Indoctrination process has taken place at all.
In other words, if after such an impromptu conversation has taken place, then the other person DECIDES NOT TO JOIN your group, or somehow becomes UNINTERESTED in discussing it any further, it DOES NOT NECESSARILY IMPLY, or mean, that they will automatically "go to Hell."
No way!
That merely means that they were not convinced at your attempt to get them to agree with what you said to them.
Know what I mean?
Peace be with you!

No that is not true. Nowhere does it say in the bible that God will not judge based on the fact that you've never heard of Him. It is our job and our duty as christians to spread the gospel to the world. If God wants that man in the middle of the jungle to know Him then he will send a missionary to teach the man about the bible. Its that simple. We are God's adopted children. God choses us not the other way around. Does an adopted child chose their parents? No! The parents chose the child. The same way with God. Just like Angelina Jolie went searching for her children in other countries, God does the same thing. I know bad analagy but that's all I have this early in the morning. If God truly wants that man to be one of his chosen he will send a missionary to preach the Word and that man will hear and listen. Check out this website
http://www.ligonier.org/ they have an actual sermon on this subject that will help you better understand what I am saying. Thanks for listening and God Bless. :)

The Truth will set you free, you and all Christians are obligated to
tell everyone about salvation, God and Jesus, how believing on Jesus will give you life ever lasting life once you have gone to him in prayer, confessed your sins, repented from your sins and ask him to come into your heart.
Yes; tell the world that Jesus Christ is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings and he is coming again real soon.

I see no problem with sharing your faith I do see a probnlem with spiritual abuse(for examples of people who are guilty oif this study Augustine, Jonathan Edwards, John Calvin, etc) On as side note it has been stated that people actually commited suicide after hearing Jonathan Edwards share the "good news" of Christ.
Share your idea's but be open enough to realize that your idea's may not be true. I'm not ne to label subjects as taboo I love a good discussion bout religion.

If they don't accept God and Jesus in this life, then they won't accept it in the afterlife either - it is a fair judgement. The same demons that stop them believing now will have the same control over their minds and bodies in the afterlife. Hope this helps!

First of all, it is what you believe, that doesn't make it right.
You think if you don't tell them, they won't know and will be "saved" anyway. You think if you tell them and they don't accept then you have condemned them to Hell. If they want to know about your beliefs, by all means tell them but I don't believe anyone should throw their religion at people.
Just do what you believe is right, just remember that some people might resent you for it, whatever you do.
