Interesting question and i am sure you will get a lot of answers. To know the reason why the tsunami happened now is hard to know-I believe I will know when I get to heaven. I don't believe that 1/3 of the sea was turned into blood, 1/3 etc etc happened as a result of the tsunami. Trying to find the spiritiaul meaning in this is challenging. I don't know the answer from a spiritual perspective.

First, He did promise. Well man kind is still here so he didn't destroyed the world. So the question is why it happen? Well Isa. 24- say that the world has been polluted by the people who have changed his law and broken the everlasting covenant. So it will come on the people that this earth would suffer cause we have damaged it. It also show that there is just a few men left, we can see that this hasn't taken place yet. Because this is apart of a prophecy. Some are just beginning to take place now. The promise that he would not destroy the world with water is true ,so look and see with what it would be with next. Fire, is what going to destroy mankind next read Rev.8:7, Rev.16:8, Rev.16:18-19 earthquake and the earth splitting, mountains were gone, and the people did not repent of their works. Something that they did.Rev.16:11.This is nuclear war, that is coming, Rev.9:17-18, now it shows that these three, fire, ,jacinth and brimstone will kill many,a third part of the population. These three make up the mushroom cloud of the nuclear explosion. The Messiah said that the end would be a time when we can destroy our self a time of trouble never been seen before. We have that capability today to destroy the world. The prophecies are here so that you may believe that these thing would take place and trust in the fathers' word. It's not this blind faith that people want you to believe.

First off he did not flood the whole earth the first time. Otherwise where did the Native americans come from? The polenesians, etc. The flood only took place on the Nile river and it happened in the time of ancient babylonia before Noah. It is in there ancient texts.

Second the book of revelations was written in 96 ad and not by John the apostle but some guy named John. If it was written by the apostle then he wouldv'e been over 100 years old (unlikely since the life expectancy back then wa about 35).

Thirdly: Revelations is nothing but metaphors written to deal with what was going on at the time it was written. It is not prophecy. Heck 99% of the bible is prophecy. What about the book of Daniel, Ezekiel etc.

Lastly: It was a massive undersea earthquake that cause the tsunami and not an act of god. If it was and was the "third trumpet" blown then God doesn't know how to count.

Finally: I don't believe it anyways I am a pagan and a witch.

God was speaking about THE WHOLE PLANET, not just a select few. If that were the case, then everyone who'd been killed in a hurricane would have have to be apologized to. Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes shifting tectonic plates of earth underneath the sea bed. They just happen, maybe as a reminder of how quickly Jesus is coming back? The WHOLE PLANET has never been destroyed by water since the Flood, and never will be again. The things you speak of in Revelation are judgments against an unrepentant generation living after the Rapture of the Church. The WHOLE PLANET after these judgments have run their course will be destroyed by fire. The Scripture says that "the elements MELTED WITH FERVENT HEAT!"

The whole point of the Flood was to destroy ALL mankind. Every man, woman and child that walked the earth. After the Flood, God made a promise not to destroy the world by flooding.

Now a tsunami is not global flooding, but a wave that floods out a portion of land temporarily.

The flood in Noahs day was pin pointed in the middle east , it had nothing to do with the rest of the world, because there was nobody anywhere else. Don't take revelation litteral, remember that that book is symbols . The revelations have already been fulfilled except for the return of Christ, so don't worry about the flood. You better worry about fire...nuclear war. Ask a Christadelpian.

Tsunamis are caused by underwater earthquakes. They usually are no bigger than 30 feet in height. God did promise that he wouldn't destroy the world. And, as far as I can tell, there hasn't been a Tsunami that has destroyed the world. Look around; we're all still here.

God promised not to destroy the whole world by flood. A third of the world is not considered the whole world.

yep no contradiction there....the fact that you are asking the question proves that he did not destroy the world...there is no reason behind natural disastors though many Christians try to usr the things to say they are Gods retribution or anger at sin these claims show a persons lack of understanding We live undet the grace of Jesus Christ ....these things happen the rain falls on the sinner and the non sinner....I believe there are natural orders that are in force that are no directed by God although these things are within his power I dont think he takes a direct control over weather and such...but thats just my beliefs ...there are times when god has brought his control over these things and will bring his control over these things...but whole under grace I believe these things follow a natural order...those are more my opinions than anything based on scripture i owuld have to research further to have definite facts acording to his word.

Underwater Earthquakes, God gave mankind freewill to live anywhere they want therefore if they didn't live near the ocean they would not have died as a direct result of the tsunami.
