I have a very good friend who is a witch. She's one of the nicest people that anyone could hope to meet.

I know you can't expect everyone in a group to be the same as one example, but if she's anything to go by then I don't see any reasons why other witches shouldn't be just as friendly and intelligent.

OK, here I go again... a Christian defending a "witch"... I really wish people would get informed. First of all, the label witch is a misnomer... a true believer is called a wiccan, and they are peaceful, loving, and yes, religious people. They simply believe in a pagan religion, worshipping gods and goddesses of nature. The main crede is "an' it harm none, do what thou wilt", meaning they subscribe to the "Golden Rule"... and notice "an' it harm NONE", meaning a true "witch" shouldn't spook you, as their religion does not allow them to harm. They are also not allowed to interfere with free will. A true spell, for example, for true love, is not to be performed with a specific person in mind, as they cannot change what Nature wills... it is simply a spell (or prayer, if you will) to bring that person's true love to them... whomever it might be. Regrettably, it was the Christian movement that brought so much misunderstanding of the Wiccan beliefs, but it has become so widespread that now, you have movies like "The Craft", which is a wiccan term, which shows demonization and devil worship. The TRUE Craft does not believe in that. That is called Satanism or Devil worship... and there is NO devil in the craft... okay, okay, off my soapbox. All that said, I pray for all wiccans, that they will come to accept Jesus Christ as their saviour, and be reborn unto him. But in the meantime, let's not continue to spread the misconceptions and mistruths of a very old religion, whose members should be respected and accepted in our society. If you're really interested, do a little research on Wicca on the internet. If you don't know much about it, you will be very surprised at what you find.

well, if your a witch, then your a witch. and all the power to ya, i think it would be awesome to inherit that trait! unless you use it in a bad manor! i had a friend that was a witch, she was the most loving person! and i think if you are spooked by them, then you dont have an open enough mind, thats the problem today in society, ignorance and close mindedness!

Consider me closed minded! There are no such thing as a good witch and a bad witch. You can only find these fakers here in the states. Where I am from, witches do not go walking around in black calling themselves wicans. If you are a witch everyone knows that you consult the dark arts. Everyone else is talking to Elmo on sesame street. Do not bother, I am not trying to understand. I stand against every power of darkness, rendering them harmless and ineffective.

They don't spook me. They intrigue me. Haven't met a mean one yet. And I've met more than one. We all have this kind of a "life-force" around us, and a wiccan knows how to draw upon that power for, peace of mind, comfort, and other positive things you would like, but they have their own manner of accomplishing it. We all have different ways. Want to understand more? Listen to the lyrics and music of the entire album "Dark Side of the Moon." You'll hear how we are all so different, yet still one as a whole. Just think, do unto others............. or would you rather join the Church of Scientology? There's another one...look into those followings!

Can you people say: openmindedness?? People are so afraid of things they know nothing about. Instead of condeming a Witch, Wiccan, or Pagan why dont you go out and learn something about their religion? As most Christians believe they're devil worshipers, sorry to tell ya folks they dont believe in satan, thats just a christian thing. Pagans have respect for the world around them, trying to co-exist with the rest of humanity.

I'll love 'em if they're good people. I'm Christian but my parents are Pagan, so i'm pretty tollerant!

Also, Harry Potter was a brilliant movie, and Charmed and Buffy are great shows too! :oP 'Course real witches arn't much like that, but hey, all publicity is good publicity, right?

I think everyone has the wrong idea about "Witches" We aren't mean and scary, we just have different beliefs. There are people who think that being a witch means its evil but in truth its just a different religion, wiccan, spiritual, and alot of times more peaceful than others.

I love everyone. The only ones that "spook" me are the ones that are fake and are just doing it to get attention or be rebellious. The genuine Wiccans usually rock.

They spook me. Although Hocus Pocus, a movie about witches, was awesome!
