The orthadox jew believes in the old testament. Read it and you'll get your answer, but you better know the original language. Ask a Christadelphian.

Jewish practice and belief are not based ONLY on the Hebrew Bible (what Christians call the Old Testament). Jewish Law comes from the Written Law, the Torah or five books of Moses, and the Oral Law, some of which was eventually written up as the Talmud.
All of that was to clear up what someone wrote earlier.
In response to your question - Jews don't all believe one thing. Even within traditional Judaism 2000 years ago there were different opinions among Jews. This is still true today. Reward and punishment are central ideas within Judaism, but it's not whether the reward and punishment will be now or in an afterlife, and it sometimes definitely seems that reward and punishment are communal - for the whole Jewish people - and not individual...
See Deuteronomy 11:13-21 for example . ..
There are many different opinions about what happens after death.
Sorry - but Judaism is not a one answer religion.

I'm not anywhere near an expert on Jewish belief systems but from what I gather the Jewish traditions don't speak much of an afterlfe. There are certainly some who believe it but what exactly it is differs from which Jew you ask. Messionic Jews accept the deity of Jesus but for the most part the belief seems to be a resounding "we don't know Yaweh(sp?) will take care of it. To correct another poster here Johnny Cee the Jewish holy book would be the Torah not the modern bible that we read from today.
