No. There is no missing link. There is no chain. God created us. God created other critters, too. Yay God.
The concept is answered. The debate is resolved. One way or another, the objective truth already IS, and always has been. We can't solve something that isn't up to us to decide. All we can do is realize the truth.

Contrary to what some of your other answerer's surmised, there are no legitimate missing links in existence. There are no intermediate or transitional plant forms found in the fossil record and only a handful of disputed cases of possible intermediate animal forms currently on record. For example Lucy was thought to be the evolutionists proof of the "missing link" but turned out to be a fraud. You see the bones that were used to assemble her were not all from the same life form. Another one, Nebraska man was made from a single tooth, later found out to be a pigs tooth!
Unfortunately for Darwinians the missing links are still missing...
Darwin himself said in his book, the origin of species that the biggest problem with his evolution theory is the absence of any intermediate life forms. Darwin himself doubted his own theory.
Also here's a question that you can ask the evolutionists, if you go back all the way to the beginning of evolution it all started with energy and matter... well if there was nothing but inky blackness where did the energy and matter come from? and that question would be rhetorical by the way, trust me they can't answer it.
P.S- Mr Nemo, a missing link or intermediate life form is a life form that is in the process of becoming another species... you say that there are many? If you can name "one"...

Yes, numerous missing links have been discovered, and anybody who believes otherwise is probably purposely ignoring scientific evidence:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_links
http://www.actionbioscience.org/evolution/benton2.html
And for the record, the phrase is "scientist," not "evolutionist."
Edit: And wordman clearly knows nothing of science. I'd be curious to see him provide a source for his claims that there are no transition fossils, and he seems to be under the impression that the universe had to have a beginning, when the most logical and scientific theory is that the universe always existed. This theory is supported by the law of conservation of mass and energy. He also points out that no transition fossils had been discovered when Darwin was alive; that was over 100 years ago.

there is no such thing as a missing link, as people evolved, they stayed that way, and the species in between have died of old age. and no the debate will not be resolved for two reasons.
1) the lack of conclusive evidence.
2) the failure of creationists to listen to reason, fact, or logic

missing links just refer to evolutionary speciative stepping stones, and there are many of them between Homo sapiens and prehistoric great apes. i think this part of your question probably belongs in Biology.
as to the other part: the links aren't missing. they're there, people just choose (yes choose, out of ignorance) to ignore them. no debate using non-logic or incomplete information can ever be resolved, since that defeats the purpose of effective debate and reduces it to argument. debate is the result of evidence-based cases; creationism arguments are based on personal beliefs. (and god, do i wish people could just keep them personal...)

First it is necessary to decide if you can accept the idea that a human being is an animal. If you can get over that hurdle, then you need to decide if you can accept the biological, geological, and palentological evidence supporting the scientific theory of evolution. If you can, then you need to consider what intermediary stages were necessary to the ascent of humankind.

I am an intelligent person and therefore do not believe in the missing link. I think man was intelligent from the beginning.

A concept that will never be answered mainly because even when faced with an answer, humans will still believe what they want to believe, even when they are proved wrong.

There's no debate. Evolution is correct. Religion is superstition.
