Is the saying, 'if you love someone let them go, if they come back then they're yours' proved to be true in ways? I know someone who has re-appeared in my life and I'm confused.

I believe so. Just be yourself and follow your heart. Things have a way of working out ...

Generally this saying is true but it might be the dangerous choice. But it is definetelly a better way because if they come back then they are definetelly proved true and never leave u easily.

Why would you let them go in the first place? If you thought he was just with you to get over somebody, or if everything from family, friends to religion was causing problems in your relationship then I agree with that statement true love will come back and defeat whatever problems you had. But if the nut cheated or beat you then let him go forever!

Yes it really is true, in most cases. If they really do love you and want to be with you forever, they will come back. The distance usually makes them realize what they had and that they want it back.

If you let them go the love and bond between you will grow stronger because they in turn will love you for letting them go and they will come back.

If you love someone - Set them Free....meaning, let them be themselves and thrive.

It does not mean that they can do whatever the heck they want and still be in a relationship.

I agree with babybabe0703....it's easier said than done. But if you have the chance to be with someone you once loved and truly cared for again, take it.

There might be a chance he might leave again. Don't base your life situations on a quote. Follow what you feel is best.

well, i would only "let them go" if they wanted to go... i wouldn't push them away just to see if they return... that's just dumb.
