I have a five a and a half year old daughter, whom i would miss tremendously. But the money is great almost mid six digits and the chances of being harmed are low.....Yet i am haveing a hard time decideing. The deployment would be twelve months on six off with time to come home as well....Plus i served twelve months in S. Korea with the military.....

People...If you live in Kuwait you would know that it's not true..... Fisrt of all Bin Ladin is NOT in Kuwait, he's in Afganistan....and second even though Iraq is next to Kuwait they won't harm us.... I live near Kuwait city and Iraq is 200km north of Kuwait and we haven't seen any attacks since Saddam was captured... And for your question... If it's a good pay you should take it.

If your risk of being harmed is low and your wife/daughter are ok with you going then you should go. The money you will be making is worth it and it's only for a year - which will go by fast and you will still be able to go and visit home. If I was you I would take - it sounds like a great opportunity that will benefit you and your family's financial future.

chances of being harmed are low, but higher than they are now, no? youre also next to iraq, everyone's favorite stable country....youre also in the middle east, a volatile area both politically and economically. if youre white, youre also now among people who generally just dont like or trust you. better be a lot of money. im also sure that insurance in those areas is ridiculous for the above-mentioned reasons. however, there is the 70 virgins if you convert and die a martyr....(not guaranteed).

I wouldn't do it.. but that's me. Can you not get a job closer to home? Do you need the money that badly? Is the money more important than watching your daughter grow up?

Don't go. It is not good for you and your family . More harm will come of it than good.
