Why will there never be a cure for HIV?
Never say never.
Why are people scared of those with it?
They may not be educated of the facts about HIV. They may be victims of misinformation.
I want to know why they are not looking for the cure for HIV positive people?
Researchers are looking for a cure. They are also looking for ways to prevent infection.
Why are they charging an average of $1000 per bottle of medications?
Because "they" are trying to develop drugs that treat HIV and they need money to reasearch.
Why do they make it so hard for those of us infected?
Who are the "they" you keep referring to? Are you deflecting your anger about being sick upon "them" when you should really be enjoying what life you have?
Do they really care about us anymore?
You need to stop wondering if "they care" and start thinking about how you can make the best of your life and live and love your family and friends.

Who said there will never be a cure? I recently presented an article on a novel technique that was discovered ten years ago. Back then it was immediately recognised that RNAi could well be used to treat HIV and Hepatitus. The paper i presented was on using RNAi to treat HIV infected T cells, and it showed some really promising results. There is a lot of working going into HIV research, but it all takes time.
Below is the article - not sure if you will understand it, but you might find it interesting. To see how much work is being done, search on pubmed for HIV, and see how much research is being done.
As for why its so expensive: It costs a lot of money to do the research to make the drugs. Prices only come down due to competition or by governmant intervention.

they cant, the virus mutates rapidly so it quickly becomes resistant to the drugs. they have enough drugs though now that its becoming a chronic condition and many peoplehave been living with it for well over 20 years and are still in good shape, its not the death sentance it use to be. they may eventually have a cure, but we dont really have a cure for a single viral disease yet, viruses are very simple and are made out of the same stuff as humans, plus they arent alive like bacteria so it is difficult to make a drug that will effectively kill the virus but not harm the person. drugs are very expensive to develop, that's the price of health... drugs take years of work by many highly educated people, plus most drugs developed never make it to the market. it costs an average of like 500 million dollars to create a new drug and get it to the market, those costs have to be made up so the companies charge a lot of money for a product that probably costs a $1 to make. sort of like how a computer program costs $50 but the CD probably costs 10 cents, youre not getting ripped off because they have to recoup development costs.

78% of Americans are Christian. Christians often view this disease as being a just "punishment" for what they view as 'promiscuous' behavior. i.e, "you've been bad, so God has punished you." HIV began spreading rapidly through homosexual sex, so it naturally got ostracized by the media, and as a trickle-down effect, by the public. STD's aren't really high on the list of "finding a cure". Unless fat, rich republicans are being axed by a disease, they're not interested in finding a cure. (look at all the inroads that have been made with heart attacks, strokes, and heart disease- Not to mention erectile dysfunction....but that's a whole other area)
Also, sad to say this, but HIV is just like cancer; it is a money-maker for doctors, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and on and on.
Until HIV starts really making headway in the upper echelons of society, we won't see a cure.

Since HIV has been widely known about for the last 25 years, it makes sense that there isn't a cure yet.
You have to remember that this is a disease that attacks the immune system and all drugs are designed to do is help the immune system. Therefore, any drug that treats HIV will have to do double duty.

First, never say "never" about a cure for anything.
People are afraid of AIDS because it kills most people who can't afford the expensive treatments within a short time.
I guess people should be very cautious about a lethal contagious disease.

Because aids constantly changes it form as a virus so, we haven't found medication that can change form to adapt to this virus.
