My boyfriend and I have been trying to sleep together for months now. It just does not work. I find myself getting less than an hour of sleep and having a hard time just with that. He usually ends up on the floor and I sleep better. I feel bad. I'm wondering if other couples have had the same issue? Any advice on how you delt with it would be great.

I'm hot natured, she is cold natured. We have found that if she wears one or two layers and under two or three blankets and I am near naked and outside the blankets we can sleep together. I sometimes put my foot under so we can touch each other, but sometimes even that's too hot. Just try to find your middle ground. If he snores, get ear plugs. If one of you takes too much space, then try to sleep under separate blankets so you have more free movement and he has less movement, or so you hope.

When you first start sleeping next to eachother you have to get used to one another. Once you figure out how you both sleep - you will get used to the tossing and turning and movement. If you have a very small bed that could be why too. When I first got married we had a full size bed for the both of us - and let me tell you, sleeping was horrible lol. We promptly went shopping and bought a king size bed and sleeping has been a dream ever since.

oh boy .. My husband and I have our own rooms. Sleeping together was like Mission Impossible IV. We found it impossible to sleep together.. When I get into bed, I can fall asleep within about 3 seconds..however once he was in the bed with me, because the mattress shifted a little, I tended to have to move around a lot to get comfortable.. This drove him bananas, but I couldn´t help it.. We ended up fighting every night til finally I said..okay that´s it..see you in the morning and I would go to the spare room.Eventually we just preferred it this way...What a difference.. I am an early riser too..up at 430 5am he sleeps til 9ish..So the different room thing REALLY works...

I have the same problem! My bf does this thing where he twitches his left leg pretty hard every 15 seconds, it's like clockwork! It shakes the bed and makes me really aggrivated-I try to ignore it but I just can't get back to sleep while he's doing it. I have tried sleeping pills, benedryl, excersizing so I am really tired but nothing works but asking him to sleep on the couch. I feel bad too but it's the only way I can sleep! He says he only gets his feelings hurt when I get mad but I can't help feeling aggrivated when I am sleep deprived. I am sorry but I have no advice-I just feel your pain! :) Maybe thats why they had seperate beds in the same room back in the olden days-sounds great to me!

I go through the same thing. I like my space when I sleep. It's not that I don't like being w/ my boyfriends and having them near me, I just like to not having another moving, breathing, sweaty thing against me when I sleep. Maybe you guys should just try sleeping on opposite ends. Give yourselves room. And don't be offended about it. Some couples really cannot sleep holding each other.

You're probably just not used to sharing a bed. I know have trouble adjusting to sharing a bed when I get into a relationship after being able to sprawl out and take up as much room as I wanted. All I can say is that it takes time, and maybe a bigger bed?

thats just something you have to deal with, my guy and i have the same problem. we find it works best if i go to sleep first. that dosn't always work if you are a light sleeper though. my man snores like there is no tomorrow. fortuniatly (or not) we don't sleep together that often because of work schedules and what not.

good luck with your sleeping!

have you tried sleeping in each others arms..... i mean really hugging each other to sleep?......but then also keep in mind that many older couples sleep in seperate beds just so they can sleep well.

That's easy. Just make love until both of you are fully exhausted.
You'll sleep like babies.... lOL
