He seems very nice, interesting, and he's definately intelligent (has his B.S. from a private college) I would love to get to know him better. BTW this BBQ is with some good friends of mine, and I think he'd have a pretty good time.

He also seems to like me. ;-D

BBQ is at my friends house, we'd have to drive in the same car.

No way sweetheart, this is not a bad idea at all. If you think he likes you, he would have a GREAT time, but, tell him to feel free to bring some of his friends, and be sure to show him attention. And you might even want to buy his favorite beer, and have it ready for him cold when he gets there. He will definitely open up and you will have great conversations at the grill party....

If things go well, the beer you bought may be the last thing you'd take the bill for for a long time to come... meaning, he'll begin picking up the bill when you go out on dates....

If you're concerned about it's being too fast to ask him out for a date, I think if you said something like "a few of my friends are getting together for a BBQ, would you like to stop by?" Then it's not technically a date with you, and he might feel more at ease.

Or, just go for it.

It's not too soon to invite him out, but a BBQ might be pushing it because he won't know anyone there but you and you just met him. He might be a lil uncomfortable I suggest you 2 find a mutual place first.

It is not too fast. It's just a BBQ right? It's not really a date. GO HAVE FUN!
