You have freedom of speech, more so thought...you are a person of free will and therefore unhendered in your ideas, opinions and decisions, except whereby there is a law. To blaspheme God...speak evil, curse or berate Jesus the Son..or even the Father...these could be forgiven..perhaps you are ignorant of His true nature, don't have all the facts and are a person who has not yet come to understand His love for you. At anytime a person can come to God from any other walk..wiccan, pegan, occultic, gnostic, athiest and etc. He will forgive and wipe out all past transgressions. No believer wants to hear another person tear down verbally the God they worship..their faith system but truthfully, God doesn't need me to defend Him or anyone else..I praise and glorify Him because I know in my heart what He is about and what He has done..You may not. However, one cannot blaspheme the Holy Spirit..not without dire consequences. You see it is the courting of the Holy Spirit that calls us, leads us courts us into searching for Him...reaching out when He reaches in. The Holy Spirit calls us to soften our hearts to recieve the message of the Gospel. If we blaspheme the Holy Spirit..we grieve His Holy presence away. This is the one unforgivable sin. No one comes to Christ on their own. It is the Spirit that becons us..so if you shun the Holy Spirit by blasphemy, cursing or. .our right rejection...you are done. I pray you come to know God and understand His true nature and the way of things as they are. Why would you critisize a God who has given you everything and even so offers you eternal life? Still it is your choice....Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Well, faith is one totally opposite thing with freedom of speech if you mean speaks negative to God...then this is not workable. God may not put fire to burn your butt, but the devil will get hold on what you speak negative about God, then condemn u, so that is the problem.
Sometime when something has started, soon it will become issue and unstoppable habit for us to slowly move away from our believes, that's why...it may not workable OR we do can tell God what we feel unhappy about, but not speaks openly many time in front of people to keep express or create miss understand or issue among others :)

God has no need. That would be implying that God is lacking something. How can a God who is omnipotent lack anything. There is nothing that God cannot be, do or have.
God does not need praise from us. I believe that God wants us to ask questions and discover the truth for ourselves and not take anything at face value. Hence, free will!

Does God really exsit? If you believe God exsit, Does him tell you something. Sometime I believe it is yourself that being the God of yourself. You are the one that decide your words.
So may you ask ourself a question, Do you words effect yourself very much. Are you doing business according to your emotion or your thoughts?
Do check with yourself to see whether you had thought yourself has the super right to choose your religion.

Hinduism gives full freedom to its followers.
There is no concept of Blasphemy in hinduism and there is no organised body who can issue any Fatwa against those abusing hinduism.
Sage Kapil wrote Sankhya Philosophy thousands of years ago..and this philosophy has no concept of God... as God is not accepted/recognised by Sankhya
Even this sankhya philosophy is taken as core philosophy of Hinduism and sage Kapil is worshipped as an enlightened soul...(of course he was gently corrected by Vedanta philosophy)

Go ask a catholic priest if he is willing to publicly condemn Pope Ratfink for his "two tykes and your out" rule for pedophile priests or support marriage for priests.
Or, go ask a southern bastard - oops, baptist - minister why "god" is supposedly the "good guy" (after destroying the Earth twice, vindictively killing Lot's wife, allowing Nazism among other evils), while the "devil" is the "bad guy" (suggesting Adam and Steve seek knowledge, suggesting jeebus think for himself, asking "god" to prove Job's faith). His "god" is a mass-murdering sociopath while the only thing the "devil" does in the bible is ask questions (and kills no one in the process) and the "devil" is the bad guy?
Come back and tell us their reaction.

fear God and give glory to Him for this is the whole duty of man. fear meaning respect and honor. Respect is due to everyone including God. God knelt down and formed the dust of the earth and form man, God breathed the breath of life into man's nostrils and then and only then did man become a living soul. Why do you want to disrespect someone who gave you life? choose wisely.

Deities by many are seen as omnipotent and therefore above human judgment and criticizing because not being 'human' they should not be set up to human frailties.
