We all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So, beyond physical appearance, what characteristics do you find most attractive?

Humor - a guy has to make me laugh, and be able to laugh at himself, or at least not take himself too seriously. My boyfriend is really funny, and everywhere we go, he can make people laugh...even angry grocery store clerks. Intelligence is equally important - including overall knowledge of what's going on in the world, politics, and also problem solving skills, objectivity. Caring about other people is also a big one - compassion and eagerness to help others by volunteering or just helping someone with directions. And with all of this, he's got to be "manly" - as stereotypical as that sounds, I like a guy that isn't too emotional, is physically strong, knows how to fix stuff around the house, and helps me do things that are easier for him - like carry heavy luggage, etc...
I just realized that I've described my boyfriend perfectly...so I'm suddenly very happy to realize what I have! Thanks for asking!

the ability to carry on a conversation where everything isn't about " me".....some people cant even talk for 2 minutes without"me" coming into it. then i find some people that can talk about nothing for 15 hrs straight thats a good characteristic.

Personality, intelligence, Humor the woman has got to have a sense of humor, also a willingness to try new things helps a lot.

For me the MOST attractive thing a man can have is self confidence. Not to much, then it's just conceded. Like this guy below me.

well what really attracts me is girls pretty eyez and pretty smile on their face and the one who is nice, caring, kind, and honest and respectfull and with a nice personality and likes me for who i am and dosen't go for my looks and likes me of my personality instead of going for my looks and a girl who could make me smile and laugh and the one who will stick with me through the rough times no matter what happens and sticks with me to the end.........
