I try to be very careful but sometimes they just yelp like i am really hurting them?

these answers are all to be taken into consideration and are great answers.... but, it is very common for dogs to not like heights, and not liked to get picked up, and greyhounds have a very different bone structure then most dogs, they are shaped more aerodynamically, and their bones are thinner to make the dog lighter....=) hope i helped!

You didn't say how you were picking them up. Small dogs can be very sensitive behind their front legs. Pick them up with a hand under their chest and support the hind end also. You also could be scareing them if you hurt them one time when you picked them up. Have you had them long?

Take them to the vet. There could be something wrong with them that's causing them to yelp.

i think they should go to the vet but it is weird that they both do it you should research it on the net if you dont find anything call your vet and see what he has to say and if he thinks there is a problem then you should bring them both in

it could be arthritis or hip Dysplasia . if they do have that , get metacam . it works , I have a German Shepard that takes it everyday and it helps him . so try metacam on your dogs and see if that works . good luck .

they are so skinny they have no meat on their bones.. so maybe you are pinching their skin? they are fragile dogs..
