Antihistamines such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can help relieve itching caused by hives, but won’t affect itching from other causes. Most antihistamines also make people sleepy, which can help patients sleep who would otherwise be awake from the itch. Specific treatment of itching depends on the underlying condition that causes it. In general, itchy skin should be treated very gently. While scratching may temporarily ease the itch, in the long run scratching just makes it worse. In addition, scratching can lead to an endless cycle of itch—scratch—more itching. To avoid the urge to scratch, a person can apply a cooling or soothing lotion or cold compress when the urge to scratch occurs. Soaps are often irritating to the skin, and can make an itch worse; they should be avoided, or used only when necessary.
Creams or ointments containing cortisone may help control the itch from insect bites, contact dermatitis or eczema. Cortisone cream should not be applied to the face unless a doctor prescribes it. Probably the most common cause of itching is dry skin. There are a number of simple things a person can do to ease the annoying itch:
• don’t wear tight clothes
• avoid synthetic fabrics
• don’t take long baths
• wash the area in lukewarm water with a little baking soda
• for generalized itching, take a lukewarm shower
• try a lukewarm oatmeal (or Aveeno) bath for generalized itching
• apply bath oil or lotion (without added colors or scents) right after bathing

If it were anything less severe, I had several suggestions ready. But honey, sounds like you're having an allergic reaction, and a fairly severe one. You should GO TO THE E.R. . There, they will give you the appropriate medications, and probably in an IV route, which will help you a lot faster. I know it's all a bother, but a much better choice when it's this severe.
Also, I would hate to tell you symptom relief, and then have your reaction progress while you are at home, leading to breathing problems and anaphylaxis. Which is life threatening. So yeah, just go to the ER. Best of luck to you, and in the meantime, try not to scratch yourself like that--don't make it bleed!

This will probably sting on open sores for a minute but the best homemade remedy I know of is mixing baking soda and alcohol into a paste and applying it to the infected area. It stings but it feels great afterwards, sorta like an icy-hot patch for itching.

take a shower, and scrub! If that doesn't help, go to your local urgent care or emergency room. You might have scabies or something, you should get it checked out. Calamine lotion and hydrocortizone cream should help the itching, also.

You might have a scabies infestation (serious). If you're still itching and have red bumps tomorrow you need to see a doctor to get a prescription.

It sounds like you're having an allergic reaction to something. You might try to take some benadryl (you can get that at the pharmacy) and call your doctor. Allergies can happen suddenly like that sometimes...if it is an allergy, the benadryl should help some. Good luck and try not to scratch!!
