My mother is a hippie, I think I found it a bit weird growing up because she was nothing like any of the other mums, but i'm used to it now, i've been brought up in a hippie household and all my clothes as a baby were tie-dye or hemp *laugh*
I'm a bit more gothy myself, and generally speaking, when I see a goth I feel far closer and more comfortable with them than when I see an rnb/hip-hoppy person. I guess it's just because most of my friends are goths, so I associate that look and attitude with being friendly.

Goths: They look like they're dead. Hippies: They smell like it. (Old joke.) No, I'm a goth and I'm not really put off or intimidated by genuine goths or hippies. But the ones who think they can pick out certain clothes in the mall and be goth, or the ones who think wearing tye-dye and attending a few protest rallies makes them hippies - those guys scare me.

I don't think they are creepy.
I love goths and hippies. I've yet to meet someone who is both. I dont know how you could combine the 2 styles.

Well, hippies no, well yes but they're just plain creepy because to... ughh okay yucky talk and doing.. ^_^;; I'm just not mushy enough to enjoy that
Em, goths are definitely creepy, I'm quite sensitive and they are like so sarcastic and all, so yeah I think they're creepy... but then again I only see this on TV so I don't know what would I think if I ever met them in person
Goths's clothes and attitudes are cool though ^_^ and they're always so beautiful and sexy with their makeup and attitudes. :3

No. I just think people need to express themselves and do what makes them happy. Whether it's being labeled a hippie a yuppie a DINK, a goth, a punk, a rube, a nosty, a pilergraf. ... for whatever reason, wearing the clothes or haircuts, or piercings or make up or whatever identifies a person is comforting and makes them happy.

No. They aren't creepy. Though it's kind of hard to be a hippy without living in a commune, marching on washington while high, etc... ^_^

Lets see, If I answer yes, I stereotype people, if I say no then I agree. Would I hire people to work for my company that would cost me money because of the way they looked or dressed. You have to present a good image to the public. Looking at it from my side yes they are creepy and I wouldn't hire them.
