I don't believe that humans evolved. Unfortantely, my teacher doesn't.....

please be specific, I realize that some believe that they were created millions of years ago, however, in what time period, (i.e. Jurassic {sp?})

Lucy was about 6 mil years old. About 1 million years ago, we were prob distinguishable from other primates. We have been in our truly modern form for about 40,000 years (homo sapiens sapiens).

And Candy, it's "kinda wierd" that you reject thousands of years of science and thousands of experts without really studying the topic.

If anyone thinks we were created by a perfect engineer, ask yourself why so many people have bad backs? Why we feel urgings for fats and sweets to the point that we kill ourselves? Why we can be addicted to certain substances?

Why do people choke? If you were designing the perfect life form, would you connect their breathing and eating tubes at exactly the same place? Why don't our spinal cords regenerate but little fish in africa can do so? Why can't we regrow lost limbs but little newts in the creek can? Is that perfect?

Why do so many miscarriages occur? Why are babies born without brains? Why did 50% of all children die before they were one year old until about 70 years ago? Why did we have lifespans of 40 years until about 200 yrs ago? Modern medicine? Or perfect design? Please...

What is so wrong with the the thought of evolution? Does the idea of not having some spiritual being over head telling you what to do, scare you so much that you throw out hundreds of years of research and BILLIONS of years of proof?

Anyway to answer your question there have been humanoids have been around for about 6 million years. As for Homo sapiens about 40 thousand years.

Really. I guess you are not bored enough to look this up. There is a biological answer and a revelation answer. The biological answer uses the scientific method (facts, theories) and the reveal answer uses the religious creation theory. The biological answer can be debated and examined and reexamined.
