Have patience. She is likely traumatized- imagine if you had just had her experiences with her limited frame of reference. Don't blame her if she takes some extra time to learn to trust you. Don't let her down, and she will not dissappoint you in time.

Certainly her kennel? cough may be making her need extra rest and nuturing. Has she already been treated (i.e., a shot) for this? If not, it must be dealt with properly.

You are a good person for adopting the dog. Be patient.

It takes approx 2 wks to get over Kennel Cough completely. She is adjusting to a new home also. If she is not running a temp., then give her a little more time. Normal temp. is 101-102.

It is Kennel cough and if she is a rescue dog she may have trust issues and need to come to trust you or is she is still lathargic and not eating or drinking well I would take her back to the vet to make sure she doesn't have any thing else going on.

Yes Hon, She doesn`t feel good. Probably is running a temperature. Kennel cough is like bronchitis in humans. It is miserable..

Has she been to the vet? If she has, give her a little time and she should be better soon.

God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

Usually it takes about a week or so for adopted dogs to come around. A lot of the dogs at shelters are given up by their original owners so they are still a little shy and confused as to what's going on and where they are. Give her time.. as soon as she figures out that she's in her forever home, that you love her and that she's part of the family, she'll be fine. I'm glad you adopted!

If she has Kennel Cough, maybe she doesn't feel good. Take her to the vet, if you have one. Or get one. People who have pets need to have a regular vet that the pet can learn to trust and get to know well.

Yes, definately...

Our family puppy was adopted in January and she had it. She did not fully get over the effects until late March.

It is awful and lasts along time but once it is over, she will be her normal self.

Please just be patient. I was so upset and carried her back and forth to the vet.

Our vet explained to us that when we feel bad we just lay around and dogs are the same way.

Good luck to you!

If she has kennel cough, she has a cold and does not feel well. I hope you are medicating her and the vet has seen her.
