The path in the old testament is clear. Obediance, contrition, fear
the path in the many books that make up the new testament are a little harder to follow. I'd like to think that any God worth his salt would let in everyone innocent of major sin. Why would a God create all these people who never have a chance to learn about Jesus only to condem them to hell? I guess this is the same God who would have wild bears maul 42 children for calling someone "baldy" (2 kings 2:23)

Honi If you have no faith in God or don't believe, you will not be let into heaven but to be let in all you have to do is ask for forgiveness and believe you will be saved and then you will.
God has no hate in his heart and will always Love you and will shed a tear for you if you leave this world a non believer.
I wish you the best of luck and my God have Mercy on your soul.

I believe in a loving God. I believe that as long as you haven't hardened your heart to God, you will have the chance to let him into your heart and join in his presence, which would be Heaven.

I also believe that God has given those of us on Earth a path to open your heart to God through Christianity. As another answer said, John 3:16 is the key. If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will join God.

I do not believe that human beings have the capacity to understand God while we are on this earth. Holy scripture, while divine, is still a faulty human attempt to restate God's plans. The Word of God must still be re-stated by humans in various human tongues. I have to wonder if the belief in a literal interpretation of scripture would have been as strong back in the days when each copy had to be painstakingly written by frail human hands. Is it that easy to be filled with the spirit? All I have to do is write out the Bible?

But I digress. The answer to your question is both yes and no. The person who opens their heart to God upon their death will see the truth, as 1 Corinthians says, "then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known."

NO if he was sorry for his sins he would have repented before he died, Or if he was a buddist and sorry for his sins well buddah can't save you, only Jesus saves.
Mat 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
Mat 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Mat 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

That is an example of an unsaved man trying to get to the marriage supper of the Lamb..

I am a pluralist I believe all roads lead to the creator. God, Energy The Universe whatever it is you want to call it. God isn't a person he doesn't LET you do anything and he doesn't MAKE you do anything either you are a creative being free to create that which you desire and are attracted to. If you wish to go to hell or think you deserve it if that desire is strong enough than so shall it be. Eventually though the veil hiding all things will be lifted and the true nature of the universe will be known

I have heard that people who have no knowledge of God, meaning those who are never taught or have any acces to the knowledge are allowed into heaven. Also all children, up to a certain age like probably 6 or 7 who do not know the meaning are permitted. Also unborn children, still born, aborted fetuses, ect are as well. Do not quote me but I have heard this more than once.

Because that's not going to get people to convert. Niceness doesn't threaten anyone. The idea of Hell as a place of torture is a complete work of fiction anyway, even by the bible's standards. There's nothing even in scripture to support it, it was just a fanfiction made up by bitter little sadists trying to retaliate when people didn't accept their absurd claims. Edit: No, you wouldn't. No one would. Why are you telling me that? "Heaven cannot exist if Hell dosen't also exist." Wrong. Not a lot else to say. You've not provided any reasoning for that claim so there's nothing to respond to. Heaven is a place. You don't need another different place to exist for that palce to exist. I certainly hope you don't call yourself a Christian; as we've said, the bible is clear on Hell. It's the grave, nothing more. You're promoting false scripture! Calling your good a torturous sadist! That would be blasphemy and heresy of the highest orders, surely? "arent you gonna be mad if someone so close to you like your son or daughter dont wanna see you anymore. Think of it. You cant deny your parents and all the love and care they gave you after all. why would you wanna throw it all away and deny them. isnt it alittle ungreatful?" Better analogy (perfect, even): Your parents put you up for adoption and you live with another family, never knowing you were adopted. Many years later your biological parents turn up extremely angry that you hadn't followed their orders whilst you were growing up. You try to explain that you might have done if you'd had any idea they'd existed or if they'd actually told you those orders, but they don't accept this. Sure, they were the ones who deliberately decided to hide themselves and distance themselves from you, but you still deserve to be tortured for eternity for not knowing they existed. They/God decided not to tell you they/he existed. They/he (despite your bizarre claims) never gave you any love, help, or anything along those lines whatsoever. They/he never did anything for you, they/he simply let you go on with your life having no idea who they/he were/was. In what ludicrous realm are you denying them/him and being ungrateful for having no idea who they were? Yeah, that's exactly what you're saying. Don't try to use analogies which aren't accurate, you just make yourself look silly.

Heaven is a relative term. God would not want someone to go somewhere they are not happy. If people are ashamed to be in the presence of God, (which they will be if they reject him), he would send them to a less than perfected place. The Bible says there are many mansions. I imagine that people that are willing to accept less than their full potential will gladly be given just that. They will be given a mansion less glorious. I'm not an expert, but that's what I believe

Of course not. Therefore everybody who was born before the time of Jesus, or lived more than 100 miles away from him and never got to meet him, or never heard about Jesus after Jesus died is by default going to Hell to burn for all eternity. It doesn't matter if you're a good person or not; if you had the misfortune of being born is a corner of the Amazon rain forest that the missionaries happened to miss, or darkest Africa, or whatever, you're damned for all eternity. Hell; you could feed the poor, heal the sick, help your fellow neighbor...it's all for naught if you happen not to have heard of Jesus. And don't complain about how it's not your fault that you never heard of Jesus because you live in the middle of the Gobi desert. Your cries will fall on deaf ears, as you suffer and are tormented for endless eons.

God, don't you just love Christianity?

One word answers this, NO!!!! Without Christ you cannot receive eternal salvation and as such no entry to heaven. I would suggest reading John 3:3-6 and Ephesians 2:8-9
