As the others said, it all depends on the state. In Texas, for one child, you will pay up to 20% of your net income. It does not matter how many other children you have or what other obligations you have. My husband pays $600 a month plus medical insurance.
I have found that the agencies in charge of child support are often biased in favor of the mothers. Good luck.

Everyone is different. Depends on what state or country you live in. It also depends on what the other parent is earning. For example, if the other parent is earning $1,000,000 a year, you probably don't have to pay a whole lot. But if they earn $15,000 than you need to pay more because you would want your child to have as good an upbringing as possible.
Good Luck :-)
