Are you asking where the blood comes from to do transfusions on cats? I've seen it done on dogs before, so I assume it's the same with cats. There are donor dogs, usually owned by a vet or vet tech. The owner gets paid for the donation.

I took my cat to a veterinary teaching hospital. They had cats there for blood transfusions. However, that blood transfusion wasn't doing the job and said that she needed a synthetic blood transfusion.
She turned out fine. I later asked what synthetic blood was and one of the Drs. told me that it was cows blood. She now says, Mooeuw. lol. We call her my cow cat. True story though.

They have to buy it from humans. Cats lack the technology to perform blood transfusions on their own.

Most clinics use the resident cat or cats that love to lounge on the front desk.

They get them from other cats who's owners donate their cat's blood for such reasons as people who need blood get it from other people who donate human blood.
