I don't belch audibly in public, but if i did, I would definitely excuse myself.

Only if I can catch it with my right hand, and then let it out a few seconds later. Whether or not I excuse myself depends on the company I'm with at the time of the belch.

Yes but the only time I do is when I am with my friends or boyfriend it usaully when I want to embrass them (because I burp louder then any guy I know). I do not burp out loud if I'm out to a nice dinner though.

Yes, it does happen. And yes you should excuse yourself, even if it was a surprise. To ignore it would be rude to the company you are with.

Yes, most definitely. I cover my mouth and blush in embarrassment. I have to giggle a little at my hubby though b/c it's like i can't believe i just did that. Not to mention i'm wondering who all heard that.

funny you ask..today eating in a small pizza take out..a large man let out 2 long ones..i thought "well you dont hear that everyday"..i shifted away from him a bit..thats pizza gas approaching in my mind..either it was a cultural difference or he was big enough he just didn't care, i don't know. Didn't ask..left quickly.
