We believe in God, and in his son Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Ghost too. So why will you not accept us a Christians? Oh and please, don't post "No one thinks that!!" Because I have met plenty of people who do.

Headquarters: Salt Lake City, Utah
Founded: April 4, 1830 by Joseph Smith and a small group of others.
Main Problem: Wrong God. Wrong Jesus. Wrong Gospel. The Mormon God( Elohim) is an exalted man from another planet; his firstborn son is Jesus Christ. All other humans are spirit children of this exalted man and his many wives in heaven. Mormonism says God and man are the same "species", directly contraditing the Bible( Isaiah 29:16) Jesus, according to Mormonism, hasn't eternally been God, and some Mormons even believe Jesus won't recieve the "fullness of exaltation" until he takes wives adn has children during the millennium, a thousand year period at the end of the time.

Well you aren't this quote is from a book that I read that my minister wrote like 14 years ago:
In May of 1977, THE ENSIGN, an official Mormon Church publication, on page 26, carried an article asking, “Are the Mormons Christian?” Part of that article read, “It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshiped by the Mormons or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
So by worshiping a different Christ, you are not Christian! You may make the claim that you are, but that is all you are doing

From talking with a couple of my Mormon friends, I noticed some huge differences.
They think Jesus was JUST a man, nothing more. They think Satan is God/Jesus' brother. They think God has a wife. They think there are certain levels of Heaven, based on good works. They think that the men will all own a world, and the women will "get" to have babies for eternity and populate their own little earth.
These are just a few of the many things Joseph Smith made up.

Most people think Mormons are not Christians because of their fringe mentality from the beginning. Joe Smith started it with revelation considering those he thought were Jewish tribes in America, Brigham Young continued it. The US Army nearly had to come take them down til the outbreak of the Spanish-American war. The LDS were so adamant about not being Christian, even up through the days of Lorenzo Snow and Joe Smith III, that it now comes back to haunt them.

To understand the beef that mainstream christians have with you you should check out some of the propaganda they have released about you. I remember about 10 years ago when I was a christian someone showed me a video about the Mormons called The God Makers. Perhaps you should see if you can wtch it. Also go to any christianh book store and read a book on LDS it will be very revealing.

Do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior as it says to do??? Having to go to a Mormon church as a child is one of the main reasons I'm a born-Again Christian now.
Joseph Smith is a joke. The book of Mormons was written as a novel and published as a bet between Smith and hi friend that people would believe it. Research your church before claiming to be a Christian!!

As I understand it, Mormons put faith in the teachings of the Latter Day Saints which kind of goes against the idea of Christians (who are thought of as New Testament folks). I think the polygamy and tea totallilng side of it also makes this brand of christianity radically different.

because of all your extra revelations. It is Jesus plus Joseph Smith Plus the pearl of great price plus marriage in the temple and with Christians it is Jesus plus nothing no other books, no different doctrines. What you have is not the Apostles doctrine..
Act 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
