Hi Tinkerbell
I think the article you read was talking about the movie "The Da Vinci code"
As far as the topic of Jesus and Mary Mag having a daughter, It is just fiction NOT the truth. I now have my Masters in Theology .
and can honestly tell you it is just a story.
It is said that Mary after Christ' Crucifixion arrived by boat on the Coast of France and with her was a little girl buy the name of Sara
But Sara was described as being Egyptian ( a servant girl) Of course the authors of the Book never mentioned that she was Egyptian...and they ran with the theory that she was Christ daughter........ (I'd like to add a little note) It is not mentioned much but people from (Israel) were a very seasoned travelers. They would often travel to France and Britain to trade, It is that very fact that that has fueled the fire (so to say) in some circles. There a whole lot more to the story but it would take alot more typing and I can barely hold my eye's open now....Hope this helped...

No, Jesus was born over 2000 years ago there is no way he could have a daughter.
Anyway that was basically the story line of the book the da vinci code - jesus had a daughter called sarah with mary Magdalene and their blood line survives today - its not true however just part of a story.

It's a theory based on several books such as the Holy Blood Holy Grail, Quest for the Holy Grail, Holy Grail, and The DaVinci Code, etc.
It has yet to be proven, however in this small church of Rennes-le-Château, in a remote village in southern France, may well hold the key to the proof of Mary Magdalene’s marriage to Jesus and the bloodline they founded. In 1885 the village of Rennes-le-Château welcomed a new priest, Abbe Saunière, for its church dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. Abbe Saunière ordered very strange restoration work for the church, and it is thought that he discovered something during this renovation that brought him to the attention of the power brokers of that time and made him a very rich man. Possible identifications of his discovery range from the gold pillaged from Delphi in Roman times; the treasure brought out of Jerusalem by the Templars, who had a strong presence in this area; and the missing Cathar treasure, spirited out of Montségur mere days before the fall of that fortress.
Yet even more curious and compelling is this church’s ambiguous portrayal of Mary Magdalene. Markale explains that the unusual depictions of Mary in the church hint at an even more archaic role performed by Mary that could shake the very foundations of the Church if it were fully understood: that of the high priestess who anoints the priest king into his spiritual duties.
Local legend documents that Mary Magdalene washed ashore with a child, named Sarah, in arm along side was the Blessed Mother Mary.
You decide if these facts are sufficient proof, the local town believes it so!

no honey that was a fictional movie, The DaVinci Code, whose plot deals with possible descendents of Jesus Christ. There is no proof whether that is true or not. Even so, the movie does not say that the girl is his daughter. That would be impossible, considering he lived 2000 years ago. She'd be one old chick.

What are you talking about?!
How would Jesus now have a daughter in France when he's not even on this earth?!
And people dont know what they are talking about. Jesus cant be Jesus if he had sex and had a child so that makes no sense to me.

No. He only has adopted daughters living in France. Women who believe in Jesus are considered his daughters.

Assuming he ever had a daughter anywhere, she died eons ago. Some people, however, believe that Jesus has descendants. I, however, find it hard to believe that he would have gone to the trouble of sailing to France, even if he had somehow survived or escaped crucifixion.

The Da Vinci Code learned about Jesus from the Bible, so why can the Da Vinci Code not trust the Bible because without the Bible the Da Vinci Code would not exist.

Do not take fiction as history! Jesus was single all his time on earth. He did have women followers, but only followers of His Way of Heaven. The author Dan Brown was after money, not after truth. Do not be misled to your harm. May God bless you.

Maybe, read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," but I doubt that if Jesus married his descendants would be in France. A more likely place would be somewhere in the middle east where they would be more likely to blend in.
