Imagine that that is the choice you have upon dying.
Behind door number one, you may spend eternity in the presence of the Lord - but the Lord alone. There are no other people. Just you and him.
Behind door number two, you may spend eternity with other people - but not in the presence of the Lord. He is absent.
Which door would you choose, and why?
Please note that it's a direct either/or question, so answers such as 'both' or 'neither' aren't acceptable - you can't have your cake and eat it too!

To the three people who wrote 'if there are other people you won't be alone': That's why I used the 'additional details' to clarify my question: it was too long to express properly in 110 characters. Doe the phrase 'alone with other people' really not make sense to you?

Normally i would say in a second: with other people.
Tonight i have been asking a few questions about gay-rights, and the answers i got here made me sick to me stomage. So, I would have to go for door number 1 now, since at this moment i'm kinda sick of people.
But the problem is, these people based their answers on what God told them to say, so door number 1 is also no option.
Since 'all people' includes also people like you, i'd have to go for door number 2 then. i choose People over God.
(Big chance is that the people i would love to avoid, chose door number 1 anyway)

I would choose door number one. To be surrended by people and not in the presense of the Lord would feel meaningless. I would feel empty and sad and in a sense, alone, because even though I would be around other people, it would not have any meaning or purpose without Him. The Lord has always been good to me, I have made a lot of mistakes and bad choices in my young life, yet He is always there to pick up the pieces and help me up. It would be betrayal not to pick Him. My heart would hurt too much not to.

well when u first asked the question u said alone well if someone was alone there would not be anyone there , i would say door number 2 cause to me it wont matter cause im dead already and who would i be able to tell someone what its actually like to be in heaven or hell sence im dead theres no way for me to tell anyone and like i said in your question well the first part u said an eternity alone so if your alone there wont be know one there , and as for an eternity with god , well as long as u belive and ask for forgivness well u will spend your eternity with god rather u had a choice or not and in my opinonin were already living in hell on this eath so when were dead any place i go will be heaven to me
SORRRY BOUT TH ALONE THINGY BUT I WILL STILL TAKE DOOR NUMBER 2

I would Choose to be with god, for i am a christain. and shall be with god in my life always, I may act like gangsterish and gang activity sutff. but thats jus because i like the acts/music doesn't mean i'm a gangster or sumin i may say sup homie or sumin. and u might think ima gangster or sumin....but that would be jugging me by how i act. But seioursly you MUST be with god, if i chose to live with people alone, we would have lots of tourble. in the bible it says nothing is impossible with gods help. I think it is very true, because everytime i pray to god, and i ask him something that is good, nothing to do with badness, it usally comes to me. for exsample one day i prayed to god to have an X-box one day. but that was when i'm was younger. But i learned that you wont always get what you want by praying why:? because praying for "human made itemms" is like begging or being greedy in a way. Why not ppray to god to heal someone you know that is sick or something. So back to the question if i lived with god i could ask him to create people. and since hes loves "any living thing, with a pure good heart" he would say yes, then we would be all happy with people and GOd, the only true god
so my answer is i would be with god

I would choose God
people are people and not perfect
sooner or later we would get on each others nerves, betray one another, lie to one another other worldly things. because if the presence of God is absence there is no love the bible says that God is love. and without love we people tend to do some worldly things.

Door #2 - "The Lord" is a freak.
But the fact is God (the "Lord") doesn't exist, so either door would be okay.

Who are the other people? Some people I love, some I don't. This isn't so easy unless you have a concrete belief about who God is. If it's people I love, I'll take the people.
Edit...
In that case, people.

No afterlife. I'll rot in my coffin.
Or if you say is the truth, definetely #2. I want nothing to do with the 'fat guy up there'. I'm an atheist, I don't believe there is a deity.
